Just a teenage turtle lover!

Hello fellow TMNT fans! I'm a sixteen year old boy who has slowly become incredibly obsessed with the four turtles.

My first introduction to the heroes in a half shell was with the original cartoon. I had a few of the episodes on VHS and watched them over and over ("Case of the Killer Pizzas"). It blew my four year old mind! I quickly began asking for Ninja turtle toys, and my Uncle who grew up in the 80's, was kind enough to give me a Leonardo, Raphael, and Michelangelo, as well as April O'Neil, and Splinter.

One of my earliest memories from Grade 1 is bringing in Michelangelo, and Raphael and telling my friends about how cool these teenage mutant ninja turtles were. I remember teaching the kids at school the theme song, and how they all thought it was funny that the turtles ate pizza. A few years later I noticed that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were back on TV! I was seven or eight at the time and I was so excited to see new episodes. To my dismay, this was an uglier, less funny version of the turtles that I knew and loved. TMNT2K3 is a series that I didn't like when it aired, and I still don't like it all that much..

My obsession with the turtles started to grow this year, and I am going absolutely turtle crazy. With all of the hype of the new Nick show, I was so uninterested in it. The art style bothered me, and it seemed like a way that Nickelodeon could make a few more bucks on the turtles name. When I was at my Dad's place, I just happened to be channel surfing and noticed the new show was on.

The episode was Monkey Brains, and I am now a diehard fan of the new Nick show. The art is perfect for the show, and it is by far one of the funniest shows on TV right now! I got a Donatello toy for Christmas, and I took this photo :

I then wanted to complete my set of Turtles, but be done with the toy collecting. Ha, like I could do that? A mere 3 months later, and I now own Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo, Splinter, Shredder, Metalhead, Dog Pound, Foot Soldier, and Kraang.

I just need an April!

I'm lucky enough to have a totally awesome girlfriend who appreciates my love for TMNT. She bought me the 10th season of the original show on DVD, and a TMNT shirt. This is a photo of us on Christmas :
