The Tempestra episode raises some questions
1.) If the owner of the arcade place gave them permission to play the arcades after closing time, then why did they bail out when they heard the night watchman? Was the "good thing the owner gave us permission" line thrown in there to make the turtles not seem immoral by trespassing and breaking in.
2.) Does that mean the owner is friends with the turtles? I wish there was a story behind that lol. 3.) Wouldn't the cops or anyone notice the bright lights through the store window after midnight? Even if you turn off the lights in the store, the bright screen of the arcade games would be visible through the glass window. Last edited by TurtleFan2012; 07-25-2013 at 04:07 PM. |

It's from the OT, "Leonardo vs Tempestra"
As an answer to the first question, maybe the owner gave them permission but he didn't tell the guard about them? That's the only explanation I can think of. I'm more concerned with how exactly she appeared in "Night Of The Rogues" They never really specified that.

1. Owner prolly gave them the ok but didn't tell security.
2. It's quite possible, sure. The turtles were regulars at numerous pizzarias, and they did go to an arcade in season one, too. Maybe they built a relationship with the staff. 3. Not necessarily. A lot of arcades would leave their cabinets running 24/7 (at least ones from my youth anyway). Even so, they may have had tinted windows. One arcade in particular I used to go to had blacked out windows so you couldn't see inside. |

I thought this thread was going to be about Tempestra, not the video arcade.

Shredder and Krang watch the Channel 6 news all the time so I'm sure that's where they saw Tempstra and all the other one shot (or more) villains the Turtles captured/defeated. They knew of Pinky McFingers and Mad Dog McMutt as well. They picked their allies carefully.
ON topic: The Turtles were known heroes by then and friends with people like Vinnie for example but still hated by law enforcement. Like how Michaelangelo was friends with Dr. Goodfellow. |

Interesting points. I remember as a kid simply being happy they were doing a "Leo episode", because he never got to be the focus of episodes as often as some of the others did.
