If a SAINW situation was to play out in the TMNT 2012 universe, how should it go?

If a SAINW situation was to play out in the TMNT 2012 universe, how should it go?

The way I would see it is:

It would like to be a situation where the time staff is involved, however instead of the Turtles getting sent to various era's of time and space. Donnie is sent twenty years into the future by accident. In this world Donnie's brothers have gone their separate ways after Donatello had vanished? Shredder has betrayed the Kraang and with the help of the Kraang's technology has taken over the city and much of the country/world.

Splinter is still alive, but has never been the same since his third son has disappeared and his other sons going their separate ways.

Leo is not blind, he has grown angry and bitter towards everything. He doesn't blame himself for Donnie's disappearance. But he does feel a sense of shame for letting his family fall apart due to Donnie's disappearance?

Raph was devastated due to the fact Donnie had vanished and feels like if only he could have his younger brother back, he'd be a better person. In his anger he lashes out at his brothers Leo in particular because he's responsible for the team as a whole, and later storms out of the lair never to return. At some point he does go blind which mellows down his anger a bit. He's the first one of the turtles who encounters Donnie after he reappears in the future.

Mikey has both arms, but he is no longer the carefree youth he once was. He would keep April, Casey, and Splinter informed about his brothers and act as a go between Leo and Raph. Of his brothers he is the only one who remains in the lair.

April and her Father stay in the lair with splinter and help create and supply weapons and info, using Donatello's old lab.

Another time portal is found or created and Donnie is sent back to his time.

Kinda don't think the shredder/Kraang partnership lasted beyond season 1. He already got what he wanted. Why does he need them anymore and as far as he knows they're all dead.

The Nick turtles look too young and not mature enough to appear in something like SAINW.

It was great with the 2003 style because they look already older, darker, more serious... but it would be hard to take them seriously with the childish Nick design.

The Nick series are great but more "fun" and "lighter" than the 2003 series (more serious/dark, better for sad episodes, like SAINW or Scion to the Shredder, Insane in the membrane, etc).

I already have a hard time imagining of what they're going like in their twenties. So far I have been only able see Donnie as taller with the Mr. Magoo's eyes (because he's blind in the future) while wearing a lab coat but no headband and always saying something like "I'm too old for this ****".
