Favorite Iteration of TMNT, All-Time?

I'm sure it's been done in the many years since I've stopped posting here. But tell me, I'd love to hear people's opinions on their favorite specific version of the mythos of all-time and why?

For me, it always has, and always will be the 1990 movie. To me it came at the apex of the franchises popularity. And it was the best balance of Mirage, and the OT that made the property such a phenomenon.

And unlike a lot of other versions of the TMNT mythology, I feel like the 1990 movie is actual quality timeless story telling, and it still stands up well today alongside modern comic book films. It was ahead of it's time in many regards.

And the turtles, for me, never looked or felt more real.

You're missing a lot of categories for the poll, one of which is my favorite, the Image universe.

Archie for me....though it's a spin-off from the FW series.

I wanted to keep it to the major ones. The most common.

IDW and Archie are pretty big series. Archie especially made over 100 issues combined and was one of the longest lasting TMNT comic series ever.

And while IDW is only 2 years old so far, its pretty much become the main TMNT universe in comics as a reboot ala DC's New 52 or Marvel's Ultimate universe.

If you look even the worst, most maligned segment of the franchise has it's moments.

Then you should change the title to "Of these choices, which version of the TMNT do you like best?" because a lot of the ones you left out are major.

All of the cartoon universes except Next Mutation, which wasn't even a cartoon, but you get my drift.

Even if this list were every iteration, it'd still be Mirage. Can't beat it IMO.

Of those, the first movie, but I might like Archie just as much on a given day.

Of these choices I would say the OT and the first movie, but I voted for the OT. I really like Archie and IDW too, though I'm not sure if they're my absolute favorite versions.

One difference. The Ultimate Universe sucked.

I consider that OT, to be honest. Basically just a merchandise gig, and VHS tapes of the worst stage show ever does not warrant a whole edition of the franchise.

Well, it's a tough call for me, but I went with the movie. Though the OT, 2K3, and IDW are all right up there for me, as well. I honestly am starting to really love the IDW series, ALMOST as much as the OT! I've yet to see anything in it I don't like, though I haven't yet read the villains Micros or City Fall. Waiting for the TPB's on those. But OT is almost a tie for me on favorite, but it was the movie I discovered (and fell in love with) first!

My favorite is the Original Cartoon, but I also like the live action movies a lot.
