How would a Christmas Episode work in the Nick TMNT universe?

So how would a Christmas Episode work in the Nick Universe.

We know Mikey believes in Santa so it is there is a likelihood that any Christmas themed episode would center around him.

I think it would work, though I honestly can't think of a plot for what would happen.

Well we've never had the Turtles actually sick. So I can imagine that if they get a cold or a flu...it hits hard. So maybe one or majority of them sick for Christmas. Or just chilling in the lair around the kotatsu, after all Turtles are cold blooded so the winter weather would be deadly to them.

What about Don in the 2003 series? I mean, yeah it was a secondary mutation, but the symptoms were the same as a cold.

in this incarnation, we haven't seen the Turtles actually sick.

I say rip it from the headlines and use the already existing stories from the mirage series as a backbone. The Michelangelo one for example would work exceptionally well in this world if you were to pair him up with any of his brother's and make it so that Mikey wants one of the Little Orphan Alien dolls or whatever facsimile they come up with for the show and that is when they stumble upon the robbery from the comic. Heck have the Purple Dragons be the ones doing it that would be an excellent episode.

Second taking "What Comes Around" from the Leonardo Micro series would be even better. Save it for a bit later, and have it act as the return of Shredder. I don't know if they could do the kind of damage to Leonardo that they did in the comic, but to have an entire episode that was 80% non stop action scenes with Leo fighting for his life and the other 20% as the Turtles preparing for a christmas celebration would be equally as good. In fact in keeping with the feel of the show, wrap April up in the whole fight thing, have it that she got hurt (twisted ankle or the like nothing serious) and Leo (or any of the turtles actually) are working on getting her back to the lair when the Foot see them and take it as an opportunity to strike against their enemy while distracted. Another change have the other three instead of just talking about getting their gear and looking for Leo leap into the fray after the final commercial break and save Leo when it looks like his card is about to be punched for good.

It can revolve around Donny and Casey trying to one-up the other with a gift for april. We can also have a plot with karai and splinter how he was never around for Christmas, and always wish he could have done something nice for her.

Well in majority of the Donnie/April episodes it's Donnie protecting or saving April. So maybe this time April saves him.

I know in Japanese Culture, Christmas is viewed more as a lovers holiday. But New Years has other concepts such as enjoying the first sun rise of the new year. I can see Donnie trying to hang out with April and one of the plans is watching the sun rise on Christmas Morning with her. Unfortunately she can't because she has a lot of stuff to do over the winter break. Which include a few study sessions with Casey. Donnie accepts this but he's not happy with it.

Donnie decided to go topside, and while out he sees Casey and April together and decides to go find somewhere he can mope. The two of them are actually Christmas shopping and April was getting some gifts for the Turtles which was one of the reasons April didn't want to hang out with Donnie that day. April is telling Casey that she had made up with the friends she told him about. Casey says maybe he can meet them one day. April smiles and says that it is possible he could get along with them.

Casey then asks if there was a guy in April's life...April pauses and says "Sort of" she explains that one of her four friends she has a close relationship with, she is aware he has feelings for her. But she thinks of him more as a brother then as a boy friend. And that said friend had even asked if they could watch the Christmas Morning sunrise. Casey tells her that actually sounds kind of boring in his opinion. April feels a little insulted by that, because inviting her to watch the sun rise on Christmas Morning was actually one of the sweetest things Donnie had asked of her.

Casey tries to say that he wasn't meaning to insult her friend, he just didn't see the point of watching something that happens every day. April storms off and goes and visits the Turtles. However when she gets there she learns Donnie's gone topside. April is concerned because it's freezing outside.

In the mean time the villain of the episode finds Donnie out by himself. I'm not sure who the villain would be... So far it's a toss up between Slash, Karai, Snake Weed and Spiderbites

Slash because he's out to kill Raphael's brothers to having one out in the open is an easy target.

Karai because she's unstable and if she's willing to disregard the Shredder's orders that she is not supposed to go after the Turtles or associate with the Kraang until he returns from Japan. Who is to say she will not disregard Leo's warning that if she goes after one Leo's brothers or his Sensei, he will kill her. And if Karai hadn't suspected that one of the Turtles had a crush on April, Target: April O'Neil conversion pretty much confirmed that for her.

Spiderbites again he has vowed revenge on the Turtles for his mutation and also the destruction of his phone. So again, one Turtle in the open convenient target.

And Snakeweed...Well Poinsettia are poisonous, so Snakeweed create these poinsettia that release a pollen that causes people to fall asleep and if exposed for more then an hour the victims could die. Donnie sees what is going on and starts to contact his brothers about it, but is forced to engage Snakeweed when the Mutant plant sees him. The other turtles and April rush to Donnie's aid and arrive just in time to see Donnie fall under the effects of the pollen.

April defends and protects Donnie until the villain is defeated and it ends with the Turtles and company spending Christmas together.
