Within the show : Chekhov's Gun

Do/Did you notice anything/anyone unimportant that already/will later became/become significant later on? Please state your thoughts.

You mean other than the obvious stuff, like the unimportant Spike becoming Slash?

Retro-mutagen development will be weaponized against the Turtles. A Fred Wolf-era trope that's been telegraphed from the moment that plotline began.

If you set up retro-mutagen in act one, someone has to try to fire it at the Turtles before the end of the play.

Also, "Checkhov's gun" is used to refer to actual objects or something very discreet like a specific piece of information, but watch this thread get filled with people posting about just any old foreshadowing, and some things that aren't!

Second mutations have been introduced, so Checkhov's gun in this case would be one of the Turtles will undergo a second mutation.

In one of the interviews with Cero and the TMNT cast it was stated the Turtles will become more sciencey this season. Typically the sciency stuff falls on Donnie's shoulders, so that could be two probable things.

One-The Turtles will follow Donnie's lead and help out more with the sciency stuff.

Two-Donnie gets taken out of the picture leaving the other three to figure things out on their own. And yes they would encounter situations where they will have to ask themselves how Donatello would have done them.

Plus in that animatic where Splinter is fighting Tigerclaw I don't recall seeing Donnie among the Turtles.

An example of a Chekhov's Gun would be the Pulverizer. The Pulverizer's introduction seemed unimportant, but when he mutated into Mutagen Man, he became significant to the plot. Ciro even said he will become important this season.

No, but he might be a Chekov's Gunman. (I say 'might be' only because Mutagen Man's potential to provide a retro mutagen has not been fully explored yet, but you could argue he has already been important to some episodes.) Same thing with Spike. Any time a character is introduced with little fanfare only to become much more important later on, the trope that applies is Chekov's Gunman. Hachiko was a Chekov's Gunman because when he bit Bradford, that contributed to Bradford's first mutation.

Chekov's Gun refers specifically to an object. In "Slash and Destroy" the mutagen canister that Raphael takes into his room is a Chekov's gun because it's used to turn Spike into Slash. The T-phones could be considered Chekov's Guns, as could the ordinary cell phone Spider Bytez used to try and blackmail the turtles (and the Kraang) because reaching for the phone led to his mutation. The photo of Donnie and April on the swingset is another Chekov's Gun since looking at the picture after hearing Donnie vent his frustrations prompts an escaping Mutagen Man to look for April.

Chekov's Skill is yet another trope, this one applying to an attribute or talent that becomes useful later. Raphael's ability to bond with pigeons has been shown twice to help him.

Chekov's Classroom involves a lesson being taught (usually in school) that becomes directly applicable to the character's life later in the story. "Monkey Brains" has Splinter lecturing Donnie that he cannot always plan for everything and must learn to think on his feet. Donatello then puts the lesson to good use in order to beat a mind-reading foe by using unpredictable attacks.

I think Chris Bradford/Dogpound/Rahzar might become a Chekhov's Gunman.

I just have this vibe that he is going to become important within this season.

Me too, especially as shows don't normally change up an established major bad guy like this without something big happening.
