Mikey And Splinter

Is it just me or has the series been a bit lacking in Mikey-Splinter bonding?

Each of his three brothers have had one or more one-on-one sessions with Splinter.

Leo in regards to being a leader, Raph and his temper and Donnie concerning April.

Each of the episodes exploring Mikey's potential flaws have been self-seeking in terms of resolving the problems.

Do we think Mikey will ever have a father-son meeting and what do we think it will concern?

I really hope so because I think it would be good to see Splinter bonding with Mikey and talking to him. Keeping my fingers crossed.

probably his lack of focus....XD

this better happen soon...Mikey needs some Splinter love!

I just have no idea what they would talk about though. Apart from his concentration span, what else could you fault Mikey for that isn't just a consequence of his personality?

They just need some time together. Kinda like the touch and go episode where mikey and splinter had to share an episode.

Perhaps they'll have their moment when ICK appears? I mean Splinter is supposedly afraid of cats and Mikey is obviously going to want to keep ICK. So, that's probably when they will have moment.

They technically did have a moment, in shell acne. After Mikey is cured, splinter tells him that even though he thought he needed to be better, he really was good enough all along or something. It just didn't seem like a moment, because Mikey turned and bragged to his brothers about how he was right.

I really, REALLY wanna see the ICK episode. Like right now. Right. Now.

And I hope there is a Mikey and Splinter moment, but-- Mikey does tend to turn around and brag to his brothers. xD As said, except for his lack of focus, most of Mikey's flaws seem to be personality based and I don't think Splinter would consider personality a flaw.

I HOPE they get to keep ice cream kitty!!

Well in the 2003 series, Splinter talked to Mikey about being true to his self when he wanted to become a superhero to go out of his way of saving people. Mikey in this show gets tired of his brothers looking down on him. Splinter could teach him how to be more reliable and prove to his brothers that he can be just as serious as they can be.

Splinter I think has a hard time relating to Mikey, means less moments with him. However whenever a family member is down he tries to cheer that person up.

It'd be nice if Mikey got some moments wit Splinter, they do tend to be rare in every series we have.
