I'm still wondering how they worked out a deal with Stan Sakai. His wife is ill and he's stopped writing the Usagi comic as its been on a hiatus for a while.

I wonder what prompted him to license Usagi to Nick? Perhaps hefty royalties?

Maybe they worked a deal with him before his wife fell ill. I do hope she recovers soon.

Of course they won't be exactly the same personality-wise or appearance-wise. All the cast: turtles, Splinter, April, Shredder, Kraang etc doesn't look/act the same.

Don't know why do we really need them.
There is enough mutant's in the show already if people want Bebop and Rocksteady why not just go watch the old toon or read the IDW Turtles.

Most of the mutants in this show are bland monsters who don't even speak.

Bebop and Rocksteady are actual characters. I'm also not so sure they'll work for Shredder like Rahzar/Fishface. They could take over the Purple Dragon gang instead.

I want to see a whole stadium of purple dragon thugs! but I know that probably won't happen because of CGI limitations T^T

Ergo, fans get the real Bebop and Rocksteady who likely either join up with Shredder with Rahzar and Fish-Face joining Karai or Karai recruits Bebop and Rocksteady as her muscle, because we all know she'll part ways with Shredder and be her own little enemy clique, albeit one with a slight truce with the Turtles.

The toy sketches people saw has Nick's version of Bebop/Rocksteady have tribal markings on them, which I assume is war paint you see Africans or Native Americans put on their body.

B&R were pretty much confirmed months ago. Not a solid confirmation, but more-so than some fan site.

We know B&R are coming back. It's Usagi's potential return that's up in the air. But yeah, that site not only is fan-made (registered to some guy named "Firas Hajjar" outta Michigan, and the site's Facebook and Twitter sites specifically say "fan page" in them), but that article still says it's a rumor at this time.
