question

I have a question. When ever I look through these forums and see something about the movies, people always say how terrible number 2 is, but number 3 they think is descent. Am I missing something? did we see different movies? They thought 2 sucked because it was more cartoony than the first movie and had vanilla ice. But they thought 3 was descent even though the turtles looked like tiny frogs, they travaled back in time through lamps, had horrible acting, and pretty much destroyed my favortie character ( Raph being a father figure!!!! ) I mean come one, atleast 2 was somewhat enjoying to watch, number 3 makes you feel like an idiot for spending time to watch it.... Oh and on the cgi show that never was, in my oppinion the show never got picked up because of how bad the turtles look, I mean there wicked ugly in the pilot. It would be so hard to get new fans from things that look like that ...Oh and on a side not, does anyone know whats going on with the tv movie from hallmark, Ive been told its been stalled due to no air-time date or something, but does anyone know any links to find any info on it? ...later

I didnt mean to sound like that. I do love all 3 of the films along with everything else ninja turtles. Just thought Secret of the Ooze deserves more credit than people give it.

TINY fogs....am i missing something?
I dunno what kind of frogs you have in your backyard, but mine are pretty damn tiny compared to the man sized looking ones in the 3rd movie. I agree costumes werent great, but I've seen much worse in my day...and I leave you with this...
"....look like tiny frogs..." yes...
(Note: This is a joke, not meant to offend anyone or start a fight, I love yous kids!)

About the pilot; remember, it wasn't anywhere near a finished episode, so I'm guessing they might have made better models had it been off the ground. Besides, if you're basing your judgement on the video that's available at the official site, then keep in mind that the video quality isn't the best either.

The second flick was always my favorite, mainly because I felt the costumes were much better looking. I mean I know they looked cool in the first flick, but they seemed somewhat improved in the sequal, not to mention how cool they made Tokka and Rahzar look!

I liked the idea that the third movie presented, but I have to admit that it could've been done alot better, especially if they had cast someone as Renet in it. Ever since I first started reading the Mirage series, she has been my favorite secondary character of the original comic book.

I agree. The second was always my favorite, and I did like the costumes better in the second movie. Although, I do like the first movie as much as the second, but there are a few things that just make the second one better for me.

The third, well, I love all things TMNT... and it does have some redeeming qualites... but of the movies I like it the least. But I do have it on DVD

For me I like both sequal no matter how off ballanced they are. I like the second one since it contain more plotline and the third one just showed how boring it can get with no Shredder running around. So it would of been better, but still all 3 are my favorite.

I got into the habbit back in 1992 or 93' when I was little. I would like to thank my 2 year older cousin for getting me in the habbit. 2001 was when I revised my knowledge on TMNT. And today I'm a bigger fan than I was years ago. I have all 3 TMNT Movies, current Toon, and old school Toon on DVD.

2. Just because the costumes are better.

Maybe they shoulda had Shredder jog through the background of one of the scenes.

3 was actually about them saving Japan, not China .

#2 gets my vote, cause it's better than the third, and number 1 isn't on there.

I also despise the 3rd movie. It was a great idea, the turtles go to Japan, but it was handled so poorly and to me it feels like an episode of Next Mutation or something (which I equelly hate). The whole thing with the Septor (or whatever) was stupid, they could've come up with a better way for the TMNTs to time travel than that. I agree the whole thing with Raph being a sensible father figure was way off, I couldn't take that seriously for one minute. That is NOT Raphael. Overall I just thought the movie was dumb. I own the video, but only because I bought it when it first came out and I've watched it maybe a handful of times since, if that.

The second movie was alright. I hated Tokka and Razor (why not just use Rocksteady and Bebop?). The turtle costumes were okay, I liked the first movie ones better. Splinter looked really weird IMHO, more like a dog than a rat. He looked even worse in the 3rd. It had some good stuff though, I liked Paige whatshername as April (though the original April from the 1st movie will always be my fave). The nightclub scene, stupid as it is, makes me laugh a lot. I just wish they hadn't treated Casey Jones' character as though he'd never even existed. *sigh*

2, because the costumes are better, plot makes more sense, and has Shredder.

Yeah, the third had a good idea, I just thought alot of it was out of character. Like, it was very obvious to me that Corey Feldman was the big star name voice in the movie, and I think Don talked more in that movie, and had more snappy comebacks and stuff than almost anyone else. I dunno, maybe that was just me, though...

Splinter in the third movie always reminded me of those Chuck E Cheese puppets, when he was in the window all the time...

Or maybe that's just me...

(BTW.. they went back to Japan, not China... even though all of it was filmed in Oregon.)

What was funny, is that I thought TMNT2 was bad. Then TMNT3 came out! At first, I couldn't wait to see TMNT3. I saw them riding horses! I love horses, and always had this thing with TMNT riding horses, so....

But after I saw TMNT3, I was mad. The parts that made me believe it was the TMNT, it was just the human guards on horseback. The TMNT hardly managed to ride for longer than five minutes combined. And then there were the horrible looking frog faces... *sai* Oh well, at least the first five minutes of this movie rocked.

The turtle costumes in #3 were more smoother. Splinter had more shaggy hair then the previous 2. I couldn't believe so many of you that are saying that the sequals stink. For me I give them all A+'s for good action and humor.

Since alot of you think they should do better maybe Shredder should of died in the third. And the thrid one should be instead of 1603 Japan it will be involved with Leatherhead or some Mirage charater.

Hopefully you'll all think different when the new mini series comes on the Hallmark channel.

I like the second movie better than the third one, but I think we can all agree that how you went from the first movie to these 2 demon spawns is quite mind boggling.

They went that way beacuse the studio wanted to do children's movies. Eastman or Laird didn't have much controll over that. Well for the flop of the sequels New line can only blame for themselfs. For the record, First movie made more profit then the two sequels combined.

Did I hear that correctly? You hated Tokka?

Anyway, the first movie almost always does the best....it's just a thing about sequels.
