Why time travel will never exist

(This is all teorethical so don't be to hard on me if i make an ass of my self)

I was watching DOFP the other they and my mind wondered off, so i started thinking about how would time travel work.

Simple answer is it wouldn't, and here is why.

In movies time is presented as a straight line where everything that will ever happen has already happen so people are able to jump around on that line back and forward.

there's not really a future or a past, there's no line to jump on. Only time that exists is the present. If you say that you are going to do something in the future that doesen't make that future sudenly exists that's only the present that will happen if all goes to plan.

Also i am going to solve the "Looper" "Plothole" (Possibly). When they cut the guy in the past and he keeps loosing limbs in the future that's because the future isn't set and is constantly changing. When he loses a leg there's a possibility that they will stop there so in the future he survives, the future doesen't change at once it changes as they keep changing it in the past.

The big thing with time travel is that as soon as you leave the present to go back to the past you've technically created a splinter universe. The world you knew no longer exists, because you went back and all the choices you make will affect the time stream...unless you become some sort of hermit...but you never know what your most basic choice would do to the time continuum. There is a definite past...as long as no one tampers with it, but you're right the future is what you make of it. I'd say time is more like this:

Past _____________ Present___________ Future B
___________________________________ Future C-∞
Each choice you make in a given situation makes a different future. Making choice A rather than B could completely change your future....but this is more multiverse theory than time travel.

It's a good thing that Time Travel doesn't exist, so that people don't steal the Technology and alter the timeline.

That's i always felt that there's a great terminator movie with completly diferent charachters where the future is completly diferent but ist's changed when Kyle Reese goes back to the past and becomes John Connor's father. In that future John Connor never existed.

I've heard people say you time travel all the time becasue seconds always pass. Mostly smartasses.

Hell, time may not even be a real thing. Speaking of that, what time is it REALLY? Like from day light savings time and all that. Which one is the real time?

Exactly. Under Albert Einstein's general theory of relativity it's possible to travel into the future as long as you kept moving incredibly fast.
