Would You Accept The Turtles Size If Shredder Was Smaller Than Them?

I was thinking today about how the size of the Turtles doesn't really work for me, and how Shredder is about the same size as them, and I'm just not a fan of that dynamic.

Then I got to thinking of, wouldn't it be cool if Shredder was much smaller than the Turtles. Shredder would move quicker and perform insane ninja moves while the turtles struggled to deal with his speed, and quickness.

I think this would put him on the same level as Splinter and also put more of a Turtles=Freaks thing in the movie.

I think it would be kind of weird... I mean you'd lose the visual underdog angle, you would seem to have four large brutes ganging up on a smaller enemy so visually it wouldn't seem compelling.

Eh, other than cutting back on the steroids a little (and Raph slightly more than a little) their sizes don't really bug me personally. Esp now that the new trailer makes it seem like they aren't quite as large as originally perceived.

I mean, they're still kinda big and I think it would have been reasonable to keep "teenage" off the title (but we saw how that went) but I'll still prob view them as adults and just accept that they're bigger because of it.

I think their hugeness is one of the biggest problems I have with them.

Ditto this; I could deal with the bigger Shredder if the Turtles were regular-sized. It does seem like the posters make them look ridiculously huge though, whereas the more recent trailer, you can tell that they're bigger but again, it doesn't seem as exaggerated as the latest batch of posters. Maybe it just helps that in the footage, we can see them against other stuff so it gives us a bit more perspective about the size scale.

It's a packaged deal. The turtles, the Food, and Shredder. It only makes sense if they're matched. They want a big summer action movie. There trying to make superhero money. And martial arts movies just don't do that. They scaled it up and made it bigger, but I think we're looking at, relatively, the same thing.

And I'm speaking in general terms, here. I'm sure they couple of martial arts movies that made big money. That's nothing against these nonstop superhero movies.

I suspect, in the future, Casey Jones will be introduced akin to his Nickelodeon counterpart. Heavy gear, lots of weapons and gadgets, and probably explosives.

No. In my opinion, Shredder should be taller then the turtles. Just Becuase it makes him an imposing villain.

I would've much preferred a Shredder similar to this going up against turtles that were in the 5'6''-6' range. You'd still be able to get some amazing action from it while still making both sides seem like credible threats to each other.

I dont like how they are huge either, but you never know, they can make time a little smaller in the sequal.

I'd probably feel better about it if it was the other way around with smaller turtles and a bigger shredder. I'd still hate that shredders not just a master ninja but I think id be able to deal better if the turtles still looked like the underdogs

I like it better when the turtles are shorter, if there is one thing I could change about the new movie, it'd be their new heights (but it doesn't bother me much)

I wish there were more scenes where the Turtles are actually next to someone and the camera doesn't do that odd camera tilt so we can actually compare.

Well, when Raph confronts Shredder, he does seem to look smaller in comparison.
