Most Obscure TMNT Character Ever?
What TMNT character is the most obscure?
My picks: * Lobster Surprise (TMNT Magazine, 1990) * Tony Raptor (TMNT 2k3 shorts, 2005) * Monster (TMNT Mutant Melee, 2005) * Buzzrok, Multiflex, Dumpjumper, and Thrashmor (CGI Movie Toyline, 2008 ) * Deinotor and Soak-Orr (Unreleased Mutanimals show, 1993)

Probably some random Archie character that was only in one issue and not an important character at that.

Al'Falqua? Maybe it's my lack of TMNT Archie comics knowledge, but I only stumbled across this guy the other day.
Lobster Surprise looks really cool, and should be brought back. Soak-Orr on the otherhand...meh. Last edited by Commenter 42; 08-01-2014 at 09:49 PM. |

This thread should probably include what incarnation/issue/episode/time they appear and who they are, if not we could include random guy walking in any comic/show..

There's steep competition here. Even some of the most "important" characters in the TMNT franchise outside of the main seven or eight are only found in one version.
And how niche can we get here? Like, "TMNT and Other Strangeness" guidebook niche? Hell, there are so many one-off characters scattered through the Fred-Wolf cartoon and Mirage alone, I wouldn't even know where to start. |

Do one-off human characters really count though? There's always going to be generic mobsters/mad scientists/criminals in every series.

Man, that's tough, I'd argue MOST characters outside the TMNT/Splinter/April/Irma/Casey/Shredder/Krang/Bebop/Rocksteady/Stockman are rather obscure. The franchise has a whole ton of "one and done" characters.
How about the "other" Don Turtelli? Did we ever find out why there were two different guys in the OT with that name, by the way? I might say "The Uncanny Trio" from the Archie book, or maybe Stump and Sling, but that's the area I'm most familiar with so there's probably way more obscure ones. Like most of the supporting cast from the Image series is probably even less well-known, but I haven't even read those in a very long time, so I'm drawing a blank. |

Yeah the thread needs to be more specific, and I think finding the most obscure character is dumb, how about relevant obscure character, either because he's interesting or something and yet is forgotten. It also depends if we're talking ovscure in the fandom or obscure in general. No one will know who the hell Aska is except in the fandom where Aska has a fairly big popularity counting she was only in one video game.
Characters from TMNT and other strangeness are interesting, I know next to nothing about that RPG game and I bet it has plenty of main characters that the fandom has never heard about, so I think this thread can be modified and become rather popular if we explain obscure characters in TMNT and why they're interesting, no? for example: Andre: From The Next Mutation this was an old blind black man that was friends with Splinter, he was a very minor recurring character that appeared in maybe 4 episodes only for a few seconds but did have one episode where he played a bigger role. The idea that because he's blind Splinter has been able to be friends with him and share wisdom together, it's nice to see Splinter have a friend and someone to talk to, it brings something not normally seen. He actually actually acknowledges in one episode that he knows Splinter is not human. Would love to see this obscure character make a comeback. Last edited by sdp; 08-02-2014 at 12:54 PM. |

The Terror Bears are still probably the best bit from "Other Strangeness," aside from how good "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangness" is as a title. I'd love to see both those elements resurrected for a project down the line. |

Chein Khan is obscure. People don't even know TMNT had a dog mutant before Dogpound, other than Hotspot.

I would say characters like Bloodsucker, Complete Carnage and Radical that have never been in another media besides the comics. Even Old Hob would be considered obscure because if you never read the IDW comics, you never would have heard of him.
