Which is worse? TMNT 3 or TMNT 2014?

Now that the new movie is out I started to become really curious about which TMNT movie is now considered the worst (amongst people who did NOT like the 2014 movie).

I'm going to just say that I think 2014 was worse. Don't get me wrong. I still think 3 is a bad movie but it was more enjoyable as a TMNT movie (or a movie in general) than the 2014 movie.

TMNT 3 is what happens when you absolutely pander to soccer moms and studio execs.

I'm curious to see how it ends up in my own head. Although I do chuckle at TMNT 3. Tossing aside the fact it was made super-cheap - sometimes, you just have to roll with that, unfortunately - the worst thing about it just was that it was pretty boring. A lot of stuff happens, but nothing really happens, y'know? It just kind of meanders around until its over, the ending comes without much struggle or conflict at all, and then they throw in the whole "Y'know, what? F*** Master Splinter and those other guys, let's just stay here and keep screwing up history!" angle in at the last second, to try and create some artificial conflict right before the end. I don't think it's "bad", exactly, as much as its entirely unimpressive.

I think the new one might be worse from an entirely different direction, but I don't know for sure yet.

How on earth did you come to that conclusion?

Not much. I remember some intro where they are practicing, and Leo using his swords like scissors to cut off some guy's ponytail, but that's all i remember. Mikey got to use his chucks against a villain?

There are 5 big fight scenes throughout the film.

A friend saw it last night. I got a blow by blow from start to finish, and man, I can't wait until you see it. The best part was, this friend was trying to convince me how great it was, and I just kept laughing.
Nice girl, but jeebus, after this, I wouldn't trust her to boil water unsupervised.

It's very odd, some of the things some cats are most excited about, are things that make me just cringe. I'unno man.

It'll be interesting when I do see it. The wife isn't looking forward to it at all so it might not even be worth going in theaters if she's gonna be cranky. I'unno, we'll see. She actually likes the third movie, but not a whole lot.

Reading the various threads I would've suspected the poll to be closer. I guess the few who said 2014 was worse are just VERY vocal about it.

TMNT III is still worse. With all its flaws, the new TMNT at least holds your attention. Even as a kid, I remember watching TMNT and wishing one of the bad guys from the cartoon was in it.

You really have no credibility in your opinion on the new TMNT because you haven't seen it. But I guarantee even if you did see it, you would just force yourself to hate it.

TMNT 3 is SO bad. How does the puppetry and technology of the Turtle's faces get WORSE with time?! The opening to the movie feels like a sitcom. Overall it just feels like a made for TV movie.

And TMNT 2 was the one they pandered to soccer moms.

This poll is absurd. But I'm glad the results are out there. Everyone who likes the movie or dislikes the movie complains that they're being oppressed. It's nice to see polls.

TMNT III because TMNT 2014 does NOT suck.

Sometimes a friend or acquaintance will start telling me about how much they like a certain film/series/other fiction and I'll start going through the mental checks of "Why am I friends with you? How much do I value our relationship?"

Not a great place to be. I'm sorry.

Re: thread: I'll let you know when I catch 2014 on Netflix or something.
