Nick TMNT Season 2 Best Episode Tournament: Squirrelanoids vs. Fungus Humungous
It's time, once again, for the TMNT Season 2 Best Episode Tournament. It's now time for number 5, this will be a 3 day and a private vote, unless you decide to post your choice of course.

Fungus Humungous by a long shot.
Invasion of Squirrelanoids just seemed...boring. But I did like it when Raph and Mikey went to Mikey's room to look for the squirrels, and acted high. I really hope I wasn't the only one who noticed that. "This pizza is the best. Haaah....wait...what were we supposed to be doin' again?" (both of them smiling and squinting the whole time)

Damn this is a hard one, both great episodes, Mikey shined a little bit in this episode and he had a plan to defeat the Squirrelanoids and he nearly died
Leo was such a Badass in Fungus Humungous, the end fight was awesome Think i'll go with squirrelanoids.

Squirrels over shrooms any day. Loved the Aliens references. Fungus was good, but I prefer IOTS. Fun fact: when I was watching this last year for the second time, my dog started barking at the squirrels and the Squirrelanoids. Annoying as all hell. He actually barked when he saw them in Metalhead Rewired too. Actually, that's how I noticed they were there.

Definitely Squirrelanoids. It's my fave filler episode so far, the best!
And you get to see Mikey's room for the first time too, and how he's chilling with Raph. I love the horror elements too like they attempting to saw open Raph's stomach, decapitation of Metalhead's metal head (lol), etc. |

This is just cruel! I love both of these episodes and are two of my most rewatched. I like the trippiness of Fungus Humungus and like the Alien homage in the Squirrelnoids ep.
Hm which one...can't decide...I know, I'll vote for the one with the least amount of votes. lol I just can't choose this time. |

I was curious why, and after we reached her apartment complex, she said what I thought were squirrels were actually rats. They can get as big as cats, which I have seen. I don't blame Casey for being scared of New York rats. Donnie's fear didn't seem to be losing April to Casey...because of what Fungus April was saying at the beginning. I think he feared losing her friendship again and hating him because of what he is..."a mutant freak". She'd just recently made up with all of them and now she's saying she hates him because he was responsible for mutating her father and because he's a mutant himself. If it was solely about romance, seems Fungus April would've said something like that first. If anything, I felt it showed that Donnie has a slight complex over being a mutant and probably was blaming himself for Kirby's mutation. Some fears are rational others are a bit irrational, but I would never call anyone's fear of anything "lame" because I'm not in their shoes. |

Fungus Humungous. I love episodes that are scary and funny at the same time! This is like the Parasitica-equivalent of Season 2, except Leo saved the day instead of Mikey.
D: April's been exposed to toxins found in certain types of fungi. That mushroom man must produce them as a defense mechanism. L: Defense against what? Being stir-fried? R: I'm freakin' out. I'm freakin' out! I'M FREAKIN' OUT! M: It's okay, dude. It's me, Mikey. Give your bro a hug. It'll make you feel better. Come on now. Where's the love? * Hugs * M: Aw. It's right here between my arms! R: I think I'm gonna hurl. Also for some reason I actually enjoy eating mushrooms more than ever since I watched this episode. Coincidence?

Tough choice, but Fungus Humongous mostly for that scene when Mikey's head just rolls off, his body tilts forward, and he shoots a torrent of cockroaches out of his neck hole. I nearly choked when that happened. It's one of the funniest things I've seen on this show.

Squirrelanoids, due to showing how those mutagen canisters react following the Mutation Situation's invasion of them, and I like squirrels in general more than mushrooms.

Going with Fungus Humungous, my fav filler. I enjoyed the nice little insight to everyone's fears, the mushroom dance, and that giant mushroom.
Squrrielanoids, while I like that Mikey/Raph moment and seeing Metalhead get used again, was boring and kinda repetitive. Look, the turtles are chasing squirrels in the lair. Now their chasing squirrels in teams. Next their searching for squirrels in the dark. Finally, they head into the dark sewers to split up and search for squirrels.
