As much as I love Into Dimension X, it was at it's core a fan service episode for Mikey fans.
But I still love it. Just not enough to vote for it. Please don't hate me.

My first real tough call here. Both episodes were great! Finally went with The Manhattan Project due to the sheer intensity of the situation and the introduction of Tiger Claw as a formidable, recurring villain. At the same time, pretty much every recurring character in the show was involved in this episode, aside from the turtles there were April/Casey, Splinter (first major involvement since Showdown), Karai, Shredder (again, first major involvement since Showdown), Rahzar, Fishface, Baxter, Kraang, Kurtzman and the OT cameos!
Into Dimension X was also full of surprises, fresh new ideas and eye candies, but it was mainly a turtles and Leatherhead ep, and mostly a Mikey centric one at that. I admit some parts were even more interesting than The Manhattan Project but there's only so much you can put into a single episode instead of a double-length one. Of course its purpose was also to build up the suspense for The Invasion, which it did great. If Into Dimension X and The Invasion were made into a 3-parter instead, it would have trumped The Manhattan Project for sure. But being a single episode it still fell short of The Manhattan Project by a little. |

Tough one. Probably the toughest one yet, even.
I'm gonna go with Dimension X because it was so over-the-top but still worked. Manhattan Project seemed very formulaic, at least in comparison. Both episodes are fantastic - some of the best out of Season 2. Wormquake had more story progression and some great fights (seeing all the main antagonists in one shot was pretty glorious), but but for me, the weirdness and originality of Dimension X wins. Another thing Wormquake had going for it was the introduction of Tiger Claw, but I personally thought "Wrath of Tiger Claw" did that character more justice in the way he was presented. Plus the April/Casey/Donnie scenes didn't interest me all that much...

Tough one for me but i'll have to go with Into Dimension X as Mikey developed a lot in this episode and it's my favourite Mikey centric episode.

Finally, two episodes that are very good that make it an interesting comparison. That said, while Into Dimension X was a decent setup for the finale and had the better graphics, it just didn't have the excitement that "Wormquake" had. Being a two-parter, it made the most of it with numerous villains and some critical character developments, great fighting that has sadly been lacking in Season 3 so far, and of course seeing the Fred Wolf Turtles at the end. Wormquake (sorry, Manhattan Project will always be the NES game to me) wins this one!
