The Rat King was the secondary villain that was in the highest amount of episodes. Plus, there were a few times where he actually aided the turtles instead of fighting them, which made him interesting. The writers seemed to really like him.

Given the original show ran for 193 episodes, its odd that "10 episodes" is considered a lot for a recurring character.

Still, better than others who only got 2-3 episodes.

It really is odd. Out of all those episodes, I have to wonder how many actually featured shredder? The last two seasons, excluding that one episode, didn't feature him at all.

There were 62 episodes altogether that didn't include Shredder and Krang.

So Shredder/Krang were featured in about 130 episodes. Still more than most shows.

You could pretty much fill an entire show without Shredder or Krang.

I love the fact that TMNT shows run so long. I am hoping the Nick show is as long as either 4kids or the original cartoon.

TMNT is like the "anime" of American cartoons. Running for nearly 150-200 episodes.
