Lightbulb Skateboard Chair !

Hey Doodz ! !

My neighbor gave me a free skateboard the other day,
and I was wondering.. What if I had started saving em' up,
and recreate the movie prop from the newest TMNT movie ? :0
Well...
It was only showed really briefly and I was wondering if anybody could provide some clearer on-set pictures of it, or even some info like..
Who's the artist behind it, how many decks will I need?..
My local GoodWill has a computer chair I can tear apart for the frame so I'm pretty much set. xD
Thanks !

Try the console room pic, it's a pretty decent shot.

Cool idea, but be warned - I don't know how comfortable the chair will actually be given that you don't have a shell on your back!

With some cushioning it might not be too bad for occasionally laying back in a nice lazy position (needs a foot rest ), but that top board looks painful on the neck.

As bad as the movie is, the set design team sure did a great job on the lair. I'd change a few things myself, but that's just personal preference based on design aesthetics. Too bad we didn't get to spend a lot of time there.

Although, I don't like that they all sleep in the same room. I kinda like the "they all have their own rooms" thing.

Hell if you couldn't give them actual rooms, just show that they made their own in different parts of the main sewer out of wood and corrugated sheet metal. Like shanty town shacks. That would be pretty cool.

As much as I smack-talk the writers, director and producers (and deservedly, dang it), there are a lot of folks involved in the production who really cared and tried their best. That's still commendable. Though kind of makes it all even more tragic.

The skateboard chair was one of the better touches in the movie's set design, I'll give it that.

I love their room, but agree their own separate spaces would be a plus. Either sectioned off as you suggest or at the very least spread them out more and use room dividers that suit the personality of each.

Maybe next time. If they have to rebuild/move. Because goodness knows if the lair was intact after production or if they really destroyed a lot of it in the process. :\ Wouldn't mind seeing 'after' shots.

Must have hit every thrift store in the goddamn city and surrounding for some of this stuff.

Oh yeah, it was completely destroyed. And we never got any kind of closure on that. No line from Megan O'Fox asking them what about your home and somebody saying "plenty of sewers in New York" or something like that.

Nothing at all about it.

Goddammit.

Although designing that set and hunting for stuff for it would have been the most awesomest job ever in the whole history of ever.

Seriously, sequel(s) need to offer the opportunity for a few fans to have the chance to contribute a decorative item for the lair.

Yeah, adult April was about as concerned as she was when she ditched them in a storm drain years earlier. Look, April, you're supposed to sneak them back home with you until they find a new place... or I suppose they can just live out of a tiny van for a while and enjoy the severe leg cramps.

Oh I wouldn't complain.

Have to wait for the reboot and people who actually care about the fans.

Since I've been told over and over again that this movie wasn't for us.

Megan didn't get her job back, Turtles' home is destroyed. Nothing was resolved, everything was pointless.

Yeah, the least she could've done would have been to invite them in and offer them a frozen pizza.

She's homeless now too though. Lost her job, no more roommate. Didn't get her job back at the end of the movie.

It's fine, they worked the van in, that's more important. A two-second sight gag is much more important than all that "How Are The Main Characters Going To Live" nonsense. S'wrong wit'chu, boy?

True. Think the Turtles asked if they wanted a ride after destroying Vern's car... well, I guess where would they take her anyhow? lol She prob bunked up with Vern though and because of that he'll probably be back as the new roommate.

Well I can almost guarantee that Arnett won't be back...

AHA! "Nice place you got here April!" "Oh it's Vern's. He's letting crash here until I find a job and my own place, while he's out of town on business."

Taken. Care. Of.

Oh jesus I'm writing their own bullsh*t for them.
