[Question] How did the rankings come to be?

I've had this question on the back burner for a while, but how exactly did the idea of the ranks come to form? Also, would more be added in the future? Entirely curious on this and any help would be great.

Also, my apologies if I've gotten on anyone's nerves since joining, I feel like I have for some odd reasoning. (stupid me at times)

if your talking about the ranks your get when you post x number of posts they've been since i joined. i doubt they will ever add more because when u hit 1500 posts you can change your rank title to whatever you want.

and if you posted on this forum you probably have gotten on at least one person's nerves ... haha

The idea of ranks has existed since the beginning of this forum, but the current titles were decided here.
