Raph & Casey relationship..

So they're supposed to be the dynamic duo, bromance and all. It's apparent in the first movie, 2k3, 2k7. But in this show I feel it's kind of lacking..

Even in the first intro episode of Casey, they bonded so abruptly at the end which is a bit jarring. And after that, there's no really in depth exploration of this relationship up til now.

They're too busy making Casey a romantic rival for Don than a actual friend for Raph. So I wouldn't be surprised somebody half-forgot that detail regarding Casey down the line, unless I'm missing something.

I feel the main problem is thst the two bonded over their anger issues. Both have very mild temperaments for this iteration. They were able to understand one another because of their anger issues and stuff. I just don't see it for this version.

Either Ciro and crew are too wrapped up in Donnie and April to care or they hate Raph. That's why they took everything away that was supposed to be associated with him. They took Spike away, then Slash and also Casey. That may be an extreme assumption but nothing they've done has made me think otherwise.

There's the Raph/Casey bromance thing, sure, but Mirage & the first film also cemented a Donnie/Casey situation, which is of course, a rivalry. That they decided to focus on the latter more than the former is just fine with me. I have always liked that Donatello clashes with the brutish jock, it makes sense. He only tolerates Raph because he's his brother, he won't take that same crap from some punk human. But I feel y'all, it would be cool if, for old time's sake, they gave Raph & Casey some more time together, I guess. It doesn't bother me that it lacks in that department, really. It's a new series, let it leave some things behind.

If they were going to make Casey so busy butting heads with Donnie then I kind of wish they'd have introduced another friend for Raph as well; someone for him to hang with when Casey is preoccupied. No harm in having more than one friend.

Actually, you know what... Casey has mentioned his little sister before, but I'm not sure an age is actually known? Think we just assume she's actually little. If she was only a year or so younger and turned out to be a lot like her brother, that might have been kind of awesome if she actually existed in the show and hit it off with Raph (as friends). And being younger, let Raph be a little bit of a mentor perhaps. Give him a positive reason to learn self control for the sake of being a role model.

Honestly ill have to catch up with the series again but yeah I'm missing the Casey raph friendly rivel thing

The Don/April/Casey love triangle thing has kinda made me like the show less i can honestly say this is my lest favorite April

Another reason they're probably nt making it in your face and more subtle is because for practically every incarnation, this has been the case. Yes there are exceptions like the OT or Archie fir example, but I guess they wanted to try something different. I find Donnie and Casey's quips at one another amusing.

I kinda don't mind the muted friendship between them in this version. The problem is, as others mentioned, he needs someone to hang out or something unless they want to make him the sole loner type.

Maybe being a loner would make him more susceptible to mind control? (The Dark Raph episode is coming...)
