"Synthetic Lawn place is now Jones and Son Paints and the shoe/hair place sign is covered up. And just saw four turtles"

Could CM PUNK be another Jones? (How old is CM PUNK?)

very true. im jumping the gun on that one for sure, but I would venture to guess that he wouldnt come out and talk about this audition if he didnt get the role. that'd be kinda embarassing. or perhaps he doesnt care.

thats my guess. the instagram poster lives on the block they are filming...Im really hoping he/she captures an action sequence on video. especially if the Turtles are involved.

Punk is the king of Doesn't Care and will say anything at any time for any reason, then deal with it later.

I won't be surprised if he IS in the movie, not one bit, in fact I half-expect it, but we still don't know for sure and I kind of doubt it'd be Casey Jones's Dad.

I'm starting to think he ISN'T in the movie...I watched his interview from C2E2 and talked about the green ranger trying to pick a fight with him to be equal if he tweeted to the guy playing Casey "I should be Casey Jones, I should be Casey Jones, Shouldn't I be Casey Jones?" etc... I think he auditioned for Jones, but didn't get it.

Maybe it's a flashback.

If they are going to focus on human characters (and it's pretty much inevitable) I think Casey with the '03 show/Mirage comics inspired story is more compelling than trying to make Megan O'Neil relevant.

according to the original instagram poster - they are discouraging bystanders from lingering near the set. interesting considering that the past couple of days (grand central, open streets) they havent done anything of the kind.

perhaps thats a good sign that something exciting is about to go down.

That's likely. But they could also have offered him a different part to make up for it and get him to still be involved in the movie. There's no real reason not to have him in it if he said he wanted to be; it's good publicity for everyone involved.

But yeah, I would bet he did get a shot at Casey and didn't get it. They probably figured having him in that specific part would be too controversial. As if it matters at this point.

Good... yeah, maybe they've got riskier stuff they're going to be shooting, though also...as much fun as it may be to get pics, I've been surprised just how easily photos are turning up and would not be surprised if that is also a factor. It has seemed like a surprisingly open set so far. Even if pics have been coming from extras I'd have thought they'd have been required to leave their phones in their car. I can't imagine they want too much of their film giving away so soon.

I'm surprised they didn't decide to make him work in a sporting goods store - at least that would give him a cost-effective source for his weapons and mask.

A sporting goods store would make a lot more sense. Having him work in a paint store, I just keep getting visions of Casey Jones ala Saturday Night Fever - maybe he'll get a $4 raise.

Well, we do carry extension poles to which one would attach a roller. Donnie could work one of those. They extend in length when you press a butto- HOLD UP...
