Is Nick Mikey really the dumbest of all Mikeys?

I've seen some people here saying it but i don't get it, Doesn't every incarnation of Michelangelo(minus Mirage i think) have the distinctive trait of being the laid back "party dude" of the group who serves as the main source of comic relieve, What makes 2k12 Mikey an idiot compared to the other versions of the character?

Yes but he's also lethal and dangerous. He tried to kill Bradford with his kusarigama to the head, and also tried to kill Pizzaface via a burning furnace.

At least he's not as annoying as 2k3 Mikey.

He is arguably the least experienced version as you recall Leo is learning to be a leader and they are supposed to mature as the episodes pass. The dumbest version would be 2003's Mike because Peter Laird forced him to carry the sole weight of the humor.

I don't really equate humor or being the most laid back one with his intelligence. It's more like Nick Mikey is the least emotionally mature compared to the other versions. i mean, they are playing this set like actual teens, so youth makes some of it forgivable, but this Mikey can indeed be pretty unthinking. I don't know if he's dumb per se, but this version is often very quick to automatically do something without any thought. In a fight, that might be great for instinctual response when he's trained for those situations, but outside it... just ends up making him look a little foolish or dimwitted at times, and when it matters I can see how it might even make him be perceived as a potential liability if his brothers can't always trust what he might do. He might not really be a liability, but that's just more stress on them if they have to be on guard for what he's doing.

I do hope they will mature him up a little and become a little more better at being focused when he needs to be. Other versions are a bit out there, but they generally knew when they needed to shut their mouths and focus more.

To suggest 2k3 Mike is the dumbest is the dumbest comparison between the two versions of the character.

Nick Mike is the kooky cliche of today's humor in children's cartoons.

2k3 Mike cracked jokes and such but did not border on being an immature, childish moron.

It really makes you appreciate how laid back the original toon Mikey was. He just had a pizza obsession, but other than that he never did anything as ridiculous as the other two.

Oh gawds, YES! Nick Mikey IS the dumbest, even more so than the 2007 movie version. OT Mikey was laid back and obsessed with pizza, but he still had plenty of brains. Even 2k3 Mikey was pretty savvy at times, even if he came off like a goofball and a jerk at times.

I don't think he is dumb. The Nick toon has done something that no TMNT incarnation before it has managed to do successfully - make the turtles seem young, and a young version of Mikey is just... a tad infantile. Yes, Mikey is always laid back and fun-loving, but that doesn't mean "dumb". He is just young and perhaps less logical that say Donnie or Leo, but not "dumb".

I know some people don't like how Nick Mikey is slightly infantile, but personally I find him so sweet and endearing.

I have to say yes, Nickelodeon's Mikey just seems lobotomized. To me Michelangelo's always been known as the laid-back party dude and joker who can sometimes be clumsy but never annoyingly so.

Nickelodeon's Mikey is just forcefully stupid and relies on "lol randumb" outbursts in an attempt to be comical. In Serpent Hunt he sees some of Karai's scales on the floor, thinks they're crisps and eats them. And that's just one example of his cringe moments. When he's not being stupid, he's being gross and weird.

Nick Mikey might have the lowest intellect off the various incarnations, but I still prefer that Mikey miles miles above 4kids Mikey, he was really insufferable and usually unfunny.

I don't know much about 4Kids Mikey, but, I wouldn't say Nick Mikey is dumb...but as others pointed out, this is the first incarnation, probably, where all four seem to act like actual teenagers.

In the beginning, I felt Mikey was literally "dumb" for the Nick version, but as I continued watching, I kinda changed my mind. It just seems his character has trouble concentrating...which doesn't actually mean "dumb" and he seems to just act on instinct instead of thinking things through fully. Like someone else said, for fighting or when in battle, this is actually a good thing...outside of it, he comes across as looking foolish.

So, is this the dumbest Mike? Probably not, but he is most definitely, probably one of the least mature of them.

Pretty much the reason why Mikey feels so damn out of character and just so damn stupid was because he's not Mikey he's Beast Boy from the Titans cartoons. The second Ciro Nieli and Greg Cipes were announced for this show I knew Mikey was completely ****ed they were going to crank the levels of annoying and stupid ten fold just like what happened in the Titans cartoon and they did. Sure 2K3 was guilty of this at times but no where near the levels the Nick show takes it.

Beast Boy sucks he just sucks and yes I'm calling him Beast Boy he doesn't have the right to have the name Michelangelo, Mikey or hell even the misspellings. Hell its more fitting because they don't write Mikey they write Beast Boy. This was cemented as fact for me after watching the Pizza Face episode the fact that they can easily take a Beast Boy episode from Teen Titans and just retool it to a solo Mikey episode just pretty much killed any chance of ever truly seeing the real Mikey again in this show. Michelangelo has always been my favorite Turtle in all incarnations except this one and its probably the main reason why I just stopped watching the show.

I remember Fish Face calling him the dumbest of all the turtles to which Mikey replied "Hey! I'm smart! I'm just a party dude!" xD

I don't think he's necessarily dumb, but does dumb things and makes dumb decisions sometimes, but he's really more impulsive than dumb. He can be naïve sometimes, too. The OT one was a laid back party dude, more obsessed with pizza than any of the other turtles. 03 Mikey was alright. He could be annoying but sometimes could be funny, but he was more hyperactive really. This version isn't too bad. His trusting attitude can be funny sometimes. xD

Nick turtles do a decent job of making the turtles seem young. Not sure if their age has ever been said but I'd firmly put them in the range of 13-14. Mikey's behavior isn't really that far off from how a kid that age would behave.

I have to say the Nick Version is the first incarnation of Michelangelo which i find annoying. The OT one was awesome, i liked his attitude overall, he was not so much over the top as Michelangelo in the new cartoon.

Out of all incarnations Nick Michelangelo is the worst interpretation of this character imo.

He's just soooo f'n stupid. There's really no words to justify how idiotic this character is. He's just so feeble minded, that is almost makes you question the strength of intelligence of the writers themselves.

And no, just to clarify i am in no way calling anyone mentally challenged cause that is no joke or way to speak of anybody. There are a few classless fellows around here, who need not be named that are known for making light of mental disabilities. But i have too much respect and integrity to do so.

I find him more endearing than Mike in 2k3, who is playing up the Annoying Little Brother, and less obnoxious than his portrayal from the FW toon.
