Where are they now?

I think most would agree that it would be rather amusing if there was a TV special titled "Where are they now?" dedicated to the old TMNT. I'm sure that we're all curious to know what they're up to today. Here's my opinion on what we would see:

Michaelangelo: Most likely a middle aged majorly obese guy, sitting in a reclining chair in some dirty apartment. Still eating unhealthy amounts of pizza, just 3 months away from a major infarction.

Raphael: Dead in some alley way behind a bar, where he opened his big mouth one too many times.

Donatello: His dream of becoming a world renowned scientist finally came true - he is now a mutant turtle version of Stephen Hawking, after one of his gadgets did him in. (When your every other invention explodes, you just know you're asking for it)

Leonardo: Probably sitting in a padded cell somewhere, relentlessly chanting "I'm the leader!","Follow me guys!","Turtles fight with honor!". (That's all he ever really seemed to say in the show)

Splinter: Your guess is as good as mine, but most likely still living in the sewers. Rats have a tendency to do just that.

Shredder: Now a successful owner and CEO of "Shredd it!" cookie dough manufacturing company. After the demise of the Technodrome, he was finally able to do what his heart truly desired.

Krang: Hosting his own daily talk show, succinctly titled "Krang", where he gets to rant and rave about his wishes to conquer our world and the inferiority of humans. Other topics of discussion include latest fashion and pop trends.

Rocksteady and Bebop: Bouncers at a rave club. Despite their outright inhuman appearance, nobody seems to notice or care.

April: With the news business slow after the end of the TMNT era, she was a victim of corporate layoffs. Nevertheless, today you can still find April featured in the most provocative and exciting artcles - if you care to open the latest issue of Penthouse and Playboy.

That about covers all the major characters. Now all I have to do is put this baby into production.

You do know that this site was made for the OLD cartoon right? It isn't supposed to be left alone here! That's the whole point.

I'm just trying to have some fun here. No big deal. Plus I figured this forum was dedicated to the old show, that's why I post about it. I wouldn't go to the comics or TMNT 2003 forum and post this.

Yeah, that's why there's a separate forum for the new show. So, this one can focus on the old one.

Anyway, great article!

I belive the TMNT would still wind up the way they saw themselves in the future: Leo as a fuddled old koot like Grandpa Simpson, Don gone blind, Raph vegetating himself into a deadbeat and Mike as a fatass.

Yeah, Don would definately be blind, and Mike would also be pretty fat. But, I think Leo would be working out and everything, but more on the insane side of life because he can't do things that he could before, especially not lead the other three. Raph would prolly be the stereotypical grumpy old turtle. Splinter would still be pretty much the same as he was in the cartoon, I think. However, I doubt they would be living in a fancy mansion like the show depicted. Perhaps thier lair would be a bit fancier, but I don't think they would move to the surface because of all the TMNT hate going on towards the end of the show during the Dregg years.

Exactly. Reznorite420 and cqb101, please don't discourage people from discussing the original cartoon, since that's what this forum section (and the entire site) is for. If you hate seeing people talk about the original cartoon so much, don't post in GTMNTD.
