Should Krang have fought more often?

I know he's the brains of the group for the most part but he mostly just tells what Shredder needs to do and sits back and relaxes, yet he has a very powerful android body that can shapeshift it's hands into weapons, turn small or grow large. Doesn't anyone find it weird for him to have this powerful body and rarely use it?

Maybe he rarely fought so he could be a bigger deal when he did fight. Meaning he sits back and watches but when he gets involved, you know it got serious. But the problem was, it sometimes didn't as when Krang did fight, he got tossed aside easily like Shredder, when he should be a much bigger threat.

My favourite Krang in action-scene is "Turtles on Trial", when he sits inside that stolen large US military robot with laser ray cannons. Real badass.

It's one of the few times he's in an action scene without using his robot walker. He did have that Knucklehead in Casey Jones Outlaw Hero but he only did a couple things in it. The most he ever did that was threatning was in Shredder and Splintered and Turtles on Trial.

Turtles on Trial is coooler, but I like when Casey Jones knocks on the window in Casey Jones Outlaw Hero and Krang uses the ejection seat.

It's weird because he just stole a us military robot when his android body was based on his design and he's world's above any military scientist, yet he seemed more threatening than in the giant android body. I feel like in Shredder and Splintered he kind of wasted it. The robot body could fly and shapeshift it's hands into weapons yet he didn't do that when he was as big as Godzilla.

He didn't know he was defeated until it was too late (when Donatello destroyed that chip)...

The thing is you don't ever see him use his weapons or fly when he was a giant. You just see him try to swat at the turtles or grab them when he could have done a lot more. When he does fight all 4 turtles, you see him with axes for hands and very briefly fights them before Shredder shows up.

Really when he fights the Turtles with the android body he only seems to use melee weapons which may be the reason why he keeps losing. xD I never once saw him use a long range weapon from his android body except in Krangenstein Lives but Krang wasn't even in his robot body. He seems to be fond of melee weapons for some reason.

Maybe the giant-size requires to much energy to use all those hand-weapons?

The show could've used a few more fights with Krang, maybe two more. I liked it that he didn't usually fight. The show could've also used more fights with the turtles, I mean not counting the ones that were won with him tripping over stuff, but fights like in the Eye of Sarnath episode where he beats up all the turtles with ease.

I would have liked to see Krang take on the Turtles without something stupid happening that would give the bros the upper hand against the brain in the 'bot.

Since that didn't happen much in the OT series, playing against Krang in the games almost seems sorta rewarding due to actually having to strike that android *or that ship in TiT* multiple times (along with trying to dodge his attacks), just to make him go away.

Not really since he was mostly the brains behind the operation... pun intended.

It's kinda funny when you think about it, though. Shredder was introduced as the main villain of the season, and yet he ended up taking orders from Krang.

Krang is not once mentioned or seen in any of the tmnt intros too, except for the Red Sky seasons where you very briefly see Krang in his bubble walker. He did a lot of what Krang said, but Shredder also had plans that Krang followed, too. It didn't seem to be a master/slave type of relationship but they seemed to act more like reluctant allies as Shredder openly insults him and even goes against his wishes.

I felt he could have fought a little more. It just seems like a waste to have that powerful android body and barely use it. He didn't fight the Turtles often and when he did, he didn't always use his android body. I also felt like he should have been more dangerous to fight. I mean the only time we he acted tough was in The Big Break in where he tossed around Donatello and Mikey.

Krang was seen in the tmnt European intro for seasons two and three as well. I agree that he could've fought more in the series. I don't know why he didn't use his android body in the Red Sky seasons.

Another good action scene with him was when he fought Leo in his android body near the end of Super Irma. Too bad that fight didn't last long and most of the fighting took place offscreen.

I haven't checked out the European version yet but I'll check it out. As far as not using his android body, they never exactly said why, but I think it's because his android body was damaged in "Shredder Triumphant". There was a big hole in it's back and he managed to reconnect the wires to get it running, but I'm guessing it only worked for a short while and powered down, and he couldn't fix it again, because the Technodrome was sent to Dimension X and I'm guessing all of his repair equipment went with it, so he couldn't repair it while he was on Earth.

Although once he got the Technodrome in Turtle Trek, you'd think he would have quickly fixed it and fight the Turtles once again, which I think it'd be great as Turtle Trek was the last episode that featured Shredder and Krang as the main villains. The episode where he fought Leo was cool but it was pretty short. I mean he was able to toss around Donnie and Mikey but loses to just Leo. It's inconsistent like where Shredder took down all 4 Turtles before yet there are times where he was beaten like when he lost to Raph in Super Irma, and in Shredder Triumphant, he's able to hold his own against 4. I think when he fought the Turtles he should have used lasers as he only used melee weapons. He's fond of using axes and swords and other stuff. He also briefly fought Splinter in Shredder Triumphant where he just cut through Splinter's walking stick. It's a shame that fight didn't continue.

I think he should use the bubblewalker more inside the Technodrome, and save the android robot for fighting.

Krang used his android body a lot over the course of the series, but he only fought on rare occasions. Sometimes, he didn't use his weapons and just used objects in episodes like Take Me To Your Leader and Mutagen Man.

He rarely left the Technodrome at all between season 1-7.

I thought he did sometimes.

I always thought that Krang should have been a much bigger threat when he fought. You have someone who's physically more powerful and more intelligent than Shredder and he gets tossed aside just as easily. Not to mention he could shrink and turn giant and shapeshift his body parts into weapons and items. This character should be strong enough to give the Turtles a run for their money
