Dregg questions
Is Lord Dregg from Dimension X or is he in the same universe as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? I hear from other sources saying he is from Dimension X but others say he's just an alien from the same universe as the TMNT.
How strong is Dregg supposed to be? In "Dregg of the Earth" He tries to punch Raphael and ends up cracking the wall with his fist. Is it stated how many areas Lord Dregg has conquered? Like an entire dimension or a galaxy? Why did Lord Dregg get rid of Hi-Tech? I always felt he should have kept both him and Mung around, with Mung being the chief scientist and Hi-Tech being the main enforcer. That and he would have not only control of the Batmen but the Techno Gang as well. Last edited by Yabuturtle; 09-09-2015 at 10:12 AM. |

Didn't he say in his first episode that he was the ruler of seven galaxies, or something like that?
As far as him getting rid of Hi-Tech in favor of Mung, it screamed of toy influence. However, neither character had an action figure. So I guess that being the case, Dregg just doesn't tolerate failure. |

Too bad all 3 of them didn't have toys, though. Dregg seeemed to favor Mung mostly because Mung was more useful especially with the Microbots. But really he should have kept HiTech around since HiTech can actually fight while Mung can't. Then again, HiTech did try to kill Mung but only after Dregg offered Mung the job and HiTech was trying to prove his superioty over Mung. HiTech did fail a lot but he was decent fighter and led the Techno Gang. Dregg should have kept him so he would have control over the Batmen and the Techno Gang. |

The only time I can think of when it is mentioned how much he conquered was in the episode Carter The Enforcer when the turtles traveled 20 years into the future (a future where Dregg conquered earth). Landore told the turtles that Dregg is away from earth busy conquering other worlds and that by now he has conquered half the Galaxy.

I wonder if he conquered a planet or two since he has control over the Techno Gang and the Batmen. |

I just thought of the season 9 episode The Showdown. It was said in that episode the turtles were transported to an asteroid on the other side of the Galaxy with Carter and Jet McCabe. They were locked up and the guard there said that they will have to fight for the entertainment of someone named Karg: the grandmaster of the Galaxy. Perhaps that proves Dregg isn't the ruler of this Galaxy.

I'd say Dregg is from the same universe as the tmnt. He's actually quite a mysterious character, as we don't really learn much about him. He said in Dregg of the Earth that his home planet was destroyed by greed and war, but he was probably lying.
In Doomquest, he mentioned that his space fleet was scattered throughout the Galaxy. Dregg probably got rid of Hi-Tech because he thought he had failed him too many times and figured Mung would be more useful. I don't know how strong Dregg is supposed to be. He never used his strength most of the time, preferring to use his eye blasts and laser weapons.

In Wikipedia it says Lord Dregg is from Dimension X, but I don't trust it most of the time, and I don't see any other sites saying he is. Not to mention I don't recall ever hearing that he was from Dimension X in any of the episodes. It seems like he's from the same universe as the TMNT and not from an entirely different dimension like Krang. |

I doubt Dregg is from Dimension X. I noticed Dimension X is never mentioned in season 9 and Mung seemed to know more about Dimension X than Dregg early in season 10. Dregg also didn't know about Shredder and Krang until The Power of Three.
The episode Doomquest is another possible reason Dregg got rid of HiTech. Dregg was determined to beat Doomquest but HiTech kept advising him to play it safe and that they can't beat Doomquest but Dregg didn't care and only wanted to win. Dregg even threatened to destroy HiTech when he didn't release the Dreggnaught from its electronic restraint. I guess Dregg eventually couldn't trust HiTech to always follow his orders.

One non-story reason was to flip off Rob Paulsen for no longer being there to voice Hitech.
Dregg is not afraid to throw anyone under a bus so as soon as he saw that Mung and his Microbots and Batmen were potentially more useful then Hitech and thew Technogang, they were ousted. Think of when Lotus replaced Shredder for an episode. Dregg was not originally from Dimension X. I'm guessing that's where the Dreggnaught ended up coincidentally after landing to get repaired. This may have been thrown in at the last minute because it was known that it would be the final season, so they could throw Shredder and Krang in one last time. |

HiTech still had a new voice actor in season 10, but only for one episode.

Yes he did. But it wasn't meant to be permanent. Just as well. Season 10 was far better than Season 9.

I would have kept HiTech even if he did question orders every now and then. That way he would have had an enforcer, Mung as his scientist and have control over the Techno Gang and Batmen, so he can overwhelm the Turtles. I wasn't sure if Dregg was from Dimension X or from another dimension. I don't think he was but in the last episode, he threatened to transport April to the labor mines of Dimension X, implying that he knows of it at least, but it could be that Mung told him since Lord Dregg wasn't even familiar with Shredder and especially Krang, who is supposed to rule Dimension X. It seems that he's from the same universe as the TMNT. |

Dregg seemed to have no knowledge of Dimension X until Mung told him about it in The Beginning of the End. He did spend some time in Dimension X in late season 10, but it was never said that he was from there.

In "The Day the Earth Disappeared" he wanted Earth to end up in Dimension X, as he said he failed ruling Earth because he was in the enemy's territory but now he would fight them in his territory, reffering to Dimension X and also said the Earth would orbit a new sun, in a solar system he controls. So I am confused. When he said his territory, does he mean Dimension X is his home or is he saying "his territory" because he currently resides there? He said he controls a solar system, so does he rule parts of Dimension X even before he came to Earth, or did he conquer a solar system after the Turtles banished him? I took it as he was stuck in Dimension X so he would bring the turtles to him since he could not get to them. In-between time of the second to last and the last episode he figured out how to operate dimensional portals and recruited heavies to go after the turtles.
