Enemies or allies?

in the 1987 toon would you have wanted Shredder and Krang to remain allies or be enemies. I hear the IDW version has them as enemies.

They were entertaining as allies as they bickered and were very funny together and that it was rare in cartoons to have 2 main villains where almost all the time, it was one. Although some would argue Krang was really the main villain, both of them seemed to work together as equals.

But I wonder if the show would have been just as entertaining, if not more so, if Shredder and Krang were enemies instead of allies.

I like it when they were frienemies for a while in the OT. As it stands, I like it when they bickered with each other. It was when they fought with each other that they were often the most entertaining throughout the series.

I also like having IDW keeping them as enemies.

Krang and Shredder as allies is a basic part of the 1987 cartoon. Because of the humor tone, it's fun to see them walking around inside the Technodrome blaming each other. Thant doesn't say every TMNT universe must use them as allies (especially not darker ones).
