Question Mold in Silly Sludge?

Dear guys and girls,

about a month ago I received a pack of silly sludge containing 4 barrels of it having me open one of it to see what it's like. No matter how often I poured it over my fingers and hands every now and then I made sure to wash hands carefully before removing the lid and pouring it out. None of it hit the table or anything else than my hands.

Couple of days ago I was like "Hey let's get some slimey relief again" and upon removing the lid I saw this white fluffy stuff, clearly mold like you'd see it on food gone bad. I took a clean scalpel to remove it, throw it into the waste bin and closed the barrel, having quite of a weird feeling in my stomache about it. Today I see mold starts to add up again ... again!

This is not food and not supposed to rot or go bad. The other 3 barrels, unopened, seem to be fine. Did I do anything wrong or what the strange heck is going on with the silly sludge? Being furious is not what I am, more like sad...

Looking forward to your helpful replies and thank you right away for participating constructively

Maybe because you got your hands wet before opening.

Nope, I wouldn't do so at all. Keeping it clean, dry and sanitary in cautious situations is important to me.
