Meeting Eastman and Nieli

Hey guys

It was recently confirmed that Kevin Eastman and Ciro Nieli will be at the Middle East Film and Comic Con held in Dubai from April 7th to 9th. Needless to say I am hyper hyped about meeting both of them!

I’d like to know from people who met Kevin and/or Ciro in person in conventions. How are they with fans? Are they cool with signing comics/DVDs/figures? Are they open to small chat or photos? If I ask either for a sketch, would they entertain me?

Appreciate your insight!

They're both super nice, you'll have a great experience. Just be self aware, respectful, & don't hog their time. Typically there's no issue with autographs, sometimes they'll even do a little turtle head without you asking. I've heard Kevin is less likely to do sketches nowadays though, as his popularity is greater than ever; everyone wants a sketch & it takes too long to satisfy that need, so he may do none rather than some, which could seem unfair. But yeah, either way, you should find them very pleasant people. I was able to take pictures with them in addition to their penmanship, even with a long line behind me.

I met Eastman a couple times last year at Cons and he signs for everybody. He usually just does a little head sketch with the first autograph. As far as getting a full sketch done, he brought sketches with him that he did before the Con. Wish I was able to get one but it was really great meeting Eastman.
