Basically, Wise was trying to be a fun boyfriend but it didn't quite work out that way.

I think the reason is because patti howeth only worked on the first 6 episodes and david wise worked on every season onwards until season 10 when he was replaced by Jeffrey Scott.

Here's a question that hasn't been answered yet: on Return of the Shredder why is Patti Howeth still credited if Wise only made that mistake with the first season?
