Cast the TMNT re-reboot Universe
Now that OOTS is underperforming, the chances of a reboot are going up rapidly. So the question is, who would you cast for the next incarnation of the Turtles, supporting characters & villains?
Turtles Asa Butterfield - Leonardo Jacob Latimore - Rapheal Ryan Potter - Donatello Tom Holland - Michelangelo -------------------------------------------------------------- Supporting cast Ken Wantanabe - Master Splinter Sarah Bolger - April O'Neil Zac Efron - Casey Jones (seriously, guys, don't judge because of the Musical movies, he's dramatically improved as an actor --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The villains Ian Anthony Dale - Oroku Saki/ The Shredder Rila Fukushima - Karai (****ing perfect casting) Anthony Mackie - Baxter Stockman [Secondary villain] ------------------------------------------------------------------- Keep in mind this is for the first movie. Let me your casting choices ideas!

Leonardo - Dylan O'Brien Raphael - Freddie Highmore Donatello - John Boyega Michelangelo - Timothee Chalamet Supporting Characters: Splinter/Hamato Yoshi (I prefer the concept of Yoshi being Splinter, sue me) - George Takei April O'Neil - Rosario Dawson Casey Jones - Jake Gyllenhaal Burne Thompson - Zach Galifianakis Vernon Fernwick - Seth MacFarlane Villains: Oruku Saki/Shredder - Ken Watanabe Karai - Tao Okamoto Baxter Stockman - Kevin Hart Krang - Tom Hardy Bebop & Rocksteady - Key & Peele Captain Tragg (General Traag's name in the IDW comics) - Idris Elba For an added bonus: I'm honestly not quite sure about who should direct, but I would have a shortlist between either Phil Lord & Chris Miller, Matthew Vaughn, or Edgar Wright. Not too sure on the turtles. Spliter would be played by Mako, but obviously that can't happen.
April- Mary Elizabeth Winstead Casey Jones- not sure. But he has to be built. No more scrawny casey Baxter Stockman- Samual L. Jackson Shredder- not sure. Cast someone japanese and scary looking. Someone unknown but talented for sure Karai- Lucy Liu Agent Bishop- Keeanu Reeves General Krang- James Earl Jones or Tom Hardy Krang (brain)- voice of Danny Devito doing his best Krang voice Keep Bebop and Rocksteady the same, although tone the goofy down a lot. Aiden Gillen is in there too as a government agent that interacts with Tom Hardy's Krang. "you're a big brain" "for you" |

My dream reboot would be a Netflix or HBO series-- gritty 1984 NYC, smaller TMNT vs Foot-as-Yakuza story, played straight with a tiny pinch of sci-fi elements.
I'm thinking crazy perm on April, a'la 80s Mirage. Someone mentioned Rosario Dawson-- awesome pick! Maybe Christina Hendricks, Dascha Polanco from OITNB. Olivia Munn Mary Elizabeth Winstead played right could be interesting. Casey Jones--- Traditional. Not even close to a pretty boy/bro actor type. A Sebastien Stan type. Hard to improve on Elias. Honestly, I enjoyed the PD TMNT actors. Keep 'em. |

If it were to be a show, it would likely be on MTV given how Viacom are the owners of the franchise. Not that I'm complaining given the success of Teen Wolf.
