Turtlebot...

THis is for the Gamecube owners of the TMNT game...

I missed a couple of episodes when the new season began (back in September) and I was wondering, why on stage three is the boss the turtlebot, complete with clips from that episode? Did it already air, or was it something that is supposed to be aired in the future, or mebbe even a made exclusively for the game clip? Anyone who could shed some light on this will be greatly appreciated!

I think it was made for the game. Some parts were made in anime type stuff it was funny to watch some of it. It just wouldn't work in anime. Their mouths and casey and april look stupid.

Thanks guys! I kinda thought that newsreporter looked kinda funny (as in not the art style of the show aka anime ) At any rate, you GOTTA give Konami credit to go make this effort for the TMNT...it couldn't have cheap to animate a clip just fill out a video game. As the old turtles would say..."GO GREEN MACHINE!!!!!"

It pry didn't cost them very much. I haven't played the game, but the scenes can't be too long, and there can't be that many of them (one per level right?)

Actually they are pretty lengthy. There are 2 scenes I think for the Turtlebot episode alone. Plus there's more.

Yeah there is quite a few of them and I really like em. I would like to see a full episode in anime. That would be funny.

Those scenes really remind me of the cinema scenes on Mega Man X4. They look quite a bit different from the cartoon they look like scenes from a poorly dubbed OVA (this is not that the VA's are bad but the sync is a bit off). I guess in a sense they are OVA scenes. Anyway, I like them and I would also like to see them in the comics or something.

This, sir, is an offensive generalization. Anime has friken tons of different styles. So, you need to be more specific for poor saps like me who haven't seen what you're talking about.

I'd say if there was a Japanese animated series that resembled the new TMNT the most it would probably be The Big O (which takes a lot of it's style from Western methods).

Dong Woo has a way of making a good mix of the American big and beefy hero and the Japanese vivid, colorful, and expressive style.

Turtlebot is badass.
I wish he was in the show though, that'd make getting him in plastic form a much more likely occurance.

Wha...really?
I guess it's because I give most of my love to one fandom, and so my information on the others suffers.
When was this announced? Are there any pictures? Thanks in advance.

We're getting three figures from the video game. The Foot Gunner, the Evil Turtlebot, and the Giant Mouser. Here's a picture of the Turtlebot and Mouser. The Foot Gunner is out now. The other two will be out in 2004.
