Classic Episode Discussion: Case of the Killer Pizzas

Sorry about that people, anyway this was a cool episode. I liked the pizza monsters, they were very cool. I still don't understand why they hatched in the microwave though. And BTW Rez, I won't rape your turf if you update it more often. The last one had been dead for 3 days.

I liked the Frogs. They were cool counterparts to the Turtles.

I hated the different voice. It grated on my nerves.

I know some people who didn't like the stand-in for Barry Gordon. I think he played Scooter in Muppet Babies.

[EDIT: Taloniss, the frogs weren't in this episode!]

BTW, DK, rape my turf once more and I'll...I'll...I don't know what I'll do, but I'm sure you'll hate it

Oh, and ain't this just a bit out of sequence? We haven't even talked about "Case of the Killer Pizzas" and "Enter The Fly" yet!

wait you're right, ok topic will be renamed and anyway, when is Donatello/Bebops alternative voice heard? I don't remember that, I'm 100% sure that the original Donatello did the voice for most if not all of the episode.

No no, let's keep this topic as it is since it's already started Besides, I don't mind skipping around once in a while anyway.

case of the killer pizzas

Actually, this is my least favorite episode. I don't like the way it was animated and I found it a tad cheesy like the way those pizza monsters looked so vicious but hardly did anything terrifying....seems like they just stood there snarling, giving an intermittent slash. Granted this was a kid's cartoon and there's no graphic violence allowed, plus they weren't the smartest creatures sure. Also I found it silly that it took that long for the pizza boy to have delivered the two 'evil' pizzas to those kids, when April and Irma had already gotten home, heated the pizza up, found the creature, called the Turtles, etc.

I'm sorry, I shouldn't be an evil critic like this...I know I'm being over-analytical. I'm sorry.

Personally, I like the episode after this one on the tape release, "Enter The Fly"....but that's another episode.

Case of the Killer Pizza's!

This was one of my favorite eps as a kid. I loved the monsters mostly because they sort of reminded me of Gremlins because of the whole water growing thing. Even though Gremlins multiply in water. I was a stupid kid, what can I say? As usual some cheese parts. Mainly the electricity bouncing from puddle to puddle to fry the monsters. I think *haven't seen it in a while* this episode contains one of my favorite Shredder quotes. I THINK it happens when Krang Bebop and Rocksteady send the monster eggs through the portal. Baxter catches them and Shredder says something along the lines of "Nice catch Baxter!" to which Baxter replies "Well I DO have soft hands!" and Shredder says "Yes, and a head to match!" That always cracked me up as a kid!

EDIT: Now that I think about it, that quote isn't from there. Shredder says something about making a ninja out of Baxter if I'm not mistaken...AGAIN.

I've always loved this ep, for me it ranks in the top best episodes of the old show. It was well written and animated, the action was decent, the jokes were good...

I have this episode on tape from when it was boradcast originally, It was one of the first things I bought from a private tape trader online from the US so I'll always keep that tape, especially since it has the originally 80s commericals and everything plus about five other TMNT episodes.

Bah, forget what I said...consider it shared turf

College DOES make life difficult, ya'know

Short comment: One of the more dramatic and action-packed episodes IMO...a longer comment will come later, as well as a sound clip, once I re-install my SB Live...

Typical season 2 episode. Lots of good action and pretty good animation. Didn't like the fact that the aliens really looked like Aliens, but couldn't hold a candle to them when it came to gore and mayhem. Then again, can't expect more from a cartoon. All I remember about this episode is that when TMNT went into syndication, I probably saw this one more than any other episode. At least once every week they'd show it on some channel.

What I found kind of odd about the aliens was heat made them hatch and water which is basically the opposite made them grow. Very odd indeed, but I still liked the episode.
