Voice actors.

I've heard plenty of voice clips from the old show I'd like to quote on that, the voice actors from the old show just don't work with me, at too many times I wanted to cover my ears because the voices were so dreadful. Leonardo's voice sounds at least thirty years older, making him unconvincing as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Raphael's isn't agressive enough. Donatello doesn't work for me either. What distrubed me the most was the voice of Michelangelo; he had a droning voice with no accent, and too many times he says "Cowabunga" with no emotion. I kinda prefere the voices in the new show, what's your comment?

You have to remember it's a different show and different characters. I think the voces did fit THOSE characters.

I agree. The old show had different views on what the TMNT should be like, and the voices suited their characters.

voices

I enjoy most of the voices on the old cartoon...I think each Turtle has a good voice corresponding to its personality, although Leo's is a tad..oh I don't know, wimpish sounding. Just my opinion...don't hurt me.

Leonardo has a better voice in the new show in my opinion, very good voice actor.

Michelangelo sounded better in the old show, I like the voice in the new show too but i think the old cartoon got him perfect. the new show is kind of annoying sometimes, and lines delivered from the old mikey were just funnier

Donatello is just perfect in both of the shows!

Raphael is much different in both of the shows, but i like the old voice better, the new voice sounds waaaay to old to be a teenager.

in the old series....the voices did work for the characters...even though I got tired of the alternative voices.

Not to mention, the voice actors from the old show are very very big stars in the voice acting game. The new show can't quite boast that. Cam is especially is probably one of the most well known voice actors in the business. Having lent the voices to He-man, and at least a hundred other cartoon characters since he first started in the business. Just look at the talent.

Cam Clarke = Leonardo/Rocksteady/Mung

Barry Gordon = Donatello/Bebop

Townsend Coleman = Michaelangelo/The Rat King/Shredder (II)/Usagi Yojimbo

Rob Paulsen = Raphael/Zach the Fifth Turtle/Mr. Ogg/High-Tech

Pete Renaday = Splinter/Vernon Fenwick (1987-1995)

James Avery = Shredder (1987-1994)

Pat Fraley = Krang (1987-1995)/Baxter Stockman (1987-1994)/Burne Thompson (1987-1995) Zak the Nutrino

Cam Clarke has voiced quite a few videogames as well. Latest that comes in mind is Jedi Academy.

Yeah, Cam Clarke and Rob Paulsen are big names in the VA business. They're practically everywhere.

I loved the voices in the old cartoon, and as many people already stated, the voices fit perfectly with the atmosphere of the show.
