Old show rip-off on The Simpsons.

I was watching Treehouse of Horrors earlier and I just realised something, Kang (You know Kang and Kodos) must be a rip-off of Krang, their both aliens and their names are only one letter different from each other. Kang and Kodos first appeared shortly after the original TMNT series began so it's possibly. What do you think?

I'm starting to think you have far too much time on your hands. And you think even more than I do.

Kang and Kodos are actually homages to classic 50's Sci-fi movies. By the way, just cause something is similar it doesn't make it a rip-off.

Speaking of homages, Fly Baxter from 80s toon has to be a homage to The Fly, right?

PS am I the only one who thinks Jarrah starts way too many new threads?

I always thought they were an homage to Orson Welles' "War of the Worlds" since the aliens there are described exactly like Kang and Kodos look like!

Not entirely:

In the original Star Trek series episode "Day of the Dove", there's a Klingon named Kang...sorry to burst your bubble.

I don't think Kang is a rip-off of Krang, but I DO notice the resemblance
