K-Pop Demon Hunters

So who else has seen this little gem?

I finally got around to seeing it, wish I got to see it in theaters, really wish it would get a blu ray release.

I saw it, I can see how kids and Gen-Z like it. It's basically anime mixed with idols with CG graphics. This is something us boomers will never understand.

How old are you?
I always figured you were Gen-X or Melenial (or even an X-enical, like me)

Daughter has seen it like six times, and we also did the singalong cinema experience when it released there. Yeah, she loves it. As someone with a passing interest in J and K-pop, plus animation as well, it ticked a few boxes before seeing it. Songs are catchy as anything too.

Remember that scene the Asian girl was foaming at the mouth when the male demon band (in their human forms) first showed up, and she looked so thirsty over them like she wanted sexual pleasure?

I'm surprised they let that pass in a movie (mostly) aimed to kids.

Boomers trying to educate people on what boomer is supposed to means always gets me to laugh. You literally are dealing your fate as a boomer.

I can't wait for the sequel(4+ years from now).

I wish we got an art book for this one.

I hope we get some video games.

Love it. Would like to get some merch for it, but nothing has caught my eye so far. They only announced the toy license a short while ago, and it seems like they're concentrating on dolls over action figures. Pretty silly how Sony supposedly had no expectations for it when the quality is so obvious.

It will take a while to really see the full effect of that major toy deal with both Mattel and Hasbro. I am curious what we will get.

Looks like we are getting an art book next year.

At the Dollar Tree there were calendars but sold out though there are still some posters.

Calling anyone over 30 years old a boomer is stupid and uneducated. No, CyberCubed is not a boomer.

I'm not a big fan of the whole generational naming thing anyway. Different generations have different experiences depending on the part of the world they were born in. Portuguese people did not know what democracy was again until 1974-1975, for example. And people who live east of Germany did not know it again until 1989-1990 or so. So a Portuguese or Romanian baby boomer did not exactly have the same upbringing as your average American boomer.

I guess he doesn't qualify as African American to cubed because he doesn't say things like "yessa massa", "sup dawg", "yo", "kill whitey" and "shee-it negro!"

I loved Kpop Demon Hunters when i watched it, i had some catchy music and fun animation, it felt nice to have a popular film be about a original concept instead of a pre-existing franchise for a change, rumi resonated with me a lot

Looks like that Hasbro-Mattel deal will be getting a lot of things such as the obvious like dolls but also Nerf weapons, firby themed ones, and Poly Pocket version stuff.
