Why name the Fugitoid "Zayton" when he's reimagined as a human?

So I was flipping through Last Ronin 2 the other day looking for details and noticed that while the Fugitoid is reimagined as a (supposedly) earthling character, they still used that weird "Zayton" first name he had in the 2012. A bit earlier this year, the Tales tie-in comic finished with a Fugitoid arc in which he's also reimagined as a human, yet still has the name "Zayton" as well. So now we have two human versions of the Fugitoid who keep the intentionally weird name, that was never really his original name anyway.

Now in the 2012 show he was indeed still depicted as an alien and "Zayton" was most likely just meant to be wacky-weirdo-alien version of "Layton" or "Payton" or "Hayton" or any other of those British "-ton" names, not super creative but fine for a fictional alien. But now there are two versions of the character who isn't an alien and they still keep the name made up like 30 years after the character debuted for an adaptation that did a lot of other deviations that didn't stick, which makes me wonder why.

At first I thought Nickelodeon has a policy that, for whatever reason, he has to be named "Zayton" now, no matter what. Though I doubt it because Nickelodeon don't seem to care if Rocksteady's real name is "Maxence", "Ivan Steranko" or "Owen Rocksteed" and all those names were made up during the time they've owned the franchise. So I think they might just not care and think the name is good enough even when it makes no sense for the new context?

The funny thing is that Waltz himself already came up with a fake human name for him over a decade ago, "Chet Allen". So unless some executive really just loves "Zayton" and won't allow for anything else, I don't see why these two versions of the Fugitoid weren't just "Chester Allen Honeycutt" or something.
