R.I.P. Peter Cullen

This week just keeps going from bad to worse. Legendary voice actor Peter Cullen died yesterday at 85. I'm so sad.

I loved him as Eeyore in many Winnie the Pooh projects. Although I prefer Jim Cummings as Monterey Jack on Chip N' Dale: Rescue Rangers, I still enjoyed Peter's voice for the character. He of course gave a legendary voice performance as Optimus Prime in the Transformers franchise.

All savants - appropriate your "sorrowful loss"!

E'ryone's up and droppin' like flies in here!

Sorry to see Peter go - he was a pop culture icon.

I mostly knew him as the Toonami voice, since i didn't grow up with most of his voices.

Man these 80s icons dropping like flies. I wonder how I'll feel when the 90s/00s stars start dying off. I'll feel my pending doom

One of the voices of our childhoods, in nearly everything from the 80s and 90s, including TMNT 1987, and most notably of course Optimus Prime, glad I got the chance to say hi to him briefly back in 2023. Rest well Peter Cullen.

Jesus Christ! At this rate, Mr. Rogers is going to rise from the grave only to get hit by bus!

Very bizarre timing. We're all three at the same party and saw something they shouldn't?

Yeah, there are nuances and facets about both Jim and Peter doing Monty in RR that I appreciate. It’s a hard call who was better. Still had to get them both on the project.

(unless someone organises a signing with Alan Oppenheimer, who’s 93, then this is probably done)

An ultimate visual history guide for The Transformers: The Movie was originally scheduled for release October 27th, but the release date has been pushed back to November 24th. I wonder if they're taking some time to add something like a tribute to Peter Cullen. That would be awesome.
