Tournament Fighters characters

Who are all the other characters in the Tournament Fighters games? I only recognize the Turtles, Shredder, Wingnut, Karai, the Rat King, Chrome Dome, Casey, and that's it. Who are they other characters and where did they come from? If anybody wants to tell me which version each character was in, that would be great. I know the Turtles and Shredder were in all versions, and that Wingnut, Chrome Dome, the Rat King and Karai were in the SNES version and Casy was in the NES version, but that's it.

It's true that Aska appeared only in Tournament Fighters.

As for Hothead, I can't remember where he first appeared... all I remember is his action figure.

Aska was created by Konami.
War and Armaggon were from the Archie Comics.
I have no clue where Sisyphus is from.
Hothead was also in the Archie version, but I don't know if he premiered there.

Hothead

STORY: Hothead was adapted from the Archie Comic Series
http://www.ninjaturtles.com/comics/archie/20/20.htm

And then later appeared in the "Midnight Sun" three part story
http://www.ninjaturtles.com/comics/archie/28/28.htm
http://www.ninjaturtles.com/comics/archie/29/29.htm
http://www.ninjaturtles.com/comics/archie/30/30.htm

And also aired on the cartoon once (that's how he got the name Hothead, in the comics he was simply known as "Dragon Warrior')

Does this help?

War was one of the 4 Horsemen of the apacolypse.

I'm surprised the game failed to keep certain elements... I wonder if they just used the characters without reading up on them. For example, War fires spikes from his body, not shown in the game, and War also talks normally, not like some dumbass. And he isn't some space alien. As for Armagon, he also fires missiles from those holes on his shoulders, not some odd water spiral blast.
