Update on DW comic

Wanting something more solid on this, I PMed one of the inside PR folk on the DW message board. Here's the response I got:

Quote:
As far as I know, TMNT is going to be on temporary hiatus, but Dreamwave has definately (to my knowledge), not abandoned TMNT. Thanks for your concern regarding this title! Keep checking dreamwaveprod.com for the TMNT news.... cool?

does this mean, they haven't dropped it or there is still a 50/50 chance?

Well, sounds the comic hasn't been cancelled or anything, and it will return sometime in the future. LeSean and Peter David just sounded like it was gone for good

I'm confused too!!!

I don't think they ever said that, dude. But it is possible that if the series stays on hiatus for long, LeSean won't return to do more issues.

Nope, they never said it. But they just seemed like it would never return ever. like when LeSean ''I doubt that it will ever be inked and colored'' or something like that.

HELL, I WANT IT BACK

I'm just gonna go with the "on hiatus"bit then. Not concelled and not gone. But on hiatus. Which is prolly why PAD and LesSean are also confused since they aren't being asked to produce anything at the moment.

Like they decided to put the TMNT comic into hiberation, or in TF geek speak, 'stasis lock'. Until DW can afford to run it full steam again.

Thanks HT. This is good news. Things are looking up.

DW_Insider knows the score. He's a good guy. I've seen him at conventions. So it's great to get the word straight from him.

I think a lot of this confusion stems from how they themselves weren't sure what to do with the book, and the word on cancelation got out before they were ready.

Sayonara.

And... the second reply from the other, Candice PRM:

So, until then please be patient and understanding of the situation. Thanks.

Someone asked about sales from Decmber on DW TMNT #7. I found a listing of all the sales on DW books. A comparison. Shows that the TMNT are not the only ones suffering (while the giant bots rule).

Ya, but Mirage can afford low numbers like that because they don't have to pay for the character rights where as DW does. Anyway, glad to hear that it's just on hiatus and not completely cancelled.
