Turtle Soup Issue 1, Vol 2 question

http://www.ninjaturtles.com/comics/m...oup/soup01.htm

Has anyone read this? I've seen it on the ninja turtles web site, and lo and behold Krang is in one of the stories. It's like the only time a genuinely cartoon character has ever been in a Mirage published work. Can some one give me a gist of the story he's in?

Turtles fight Krang, and then it's revealed that it's all just a boy playing with his TMNT toys.

It's really not all that interesting. But to each his/her own.

Actually, I was going to make a thread about how "KRANG" is actually in the 3rd part of return to New York and making it a joke...

You see in one panel, when Leo slashes his sword at Shredder, the sound effect of the blade hitting Shredder's armor was "KRrrANGgg!!!"

The Brain Krang wasn't in it, but a Sound effect "KrrrAAAAnGGG" was...

So I saved you all from a practical Joke....

Duuuuuuuuuuuude! Bowser, you like DDR Extreme too? We need to talk...

Yep, Krang was in a Mirage comic book. I have that issue, and I thought it was weird while I was reading through the story. The ending was totally unexpected (well, for me, anyway).

yeah the first time I read it I was like "what the heck? more Heddon/McWeeney madness?!" then the punch line and all was well, lol

Mirage also did publish an Archie story in the Mirage Mini Comics collection, one of the rarer TMNT books.

it is going to be very tough to find this issue, the local comic store does not have it. I gotta make a phone call/e-mail to Boulder's comic store.

You can always just mail-order the issue from Mirage Publishing. They should still have that issue on stock!
