Does anyone else remember this, or am I crazy?

Ok, back in 1987 or 1988 when the TMNT toys first came out..I seem to remember they used to sell the original figures packaged with one of the TMNT videos....
I distinctly remember Donatello was packaged with the "Shredder & Splintered" video. I have never seen them after that or heard them talked about ever again. Does anyone else remember/have these, or am I just nuts?

I've never seen these before and I am all about lookin at vintage stuff on ebay and collectors sites.

It could possibly have been a store exclusive. Like Toys R Us only or perhaps even just your local store that wanted to dump some of the videos with the hot figures and just shrink wrapped them together.

That was what I was thinking might have been the case.. the store that I saw these at was Big Wheel, who has since closed down. Incidentally, this store once also carried Canadian TMNT figures. (it was in Ohio)
