early toys release date

What season in 1988 were the original figures released. I remember Krang, Ace Duck and Gengish frog, the 2nd assortment, coming out when Zayre was still around, before Ames took it over. Why wasn't krang in the original assortment and why did they have him in a buble walker and not in the android body until 1991, I have asked that since the time.

If memory serves (which, it may not, since this was 16 or so years ago) they came out around winter of 1988. The series launched in December, so the toys were soon after that. Playmates has always released their waves in periods of two or three months, which would make sense why there were no other waves in 88. As far as why Krang wasn't in the first series, they probably had similar reasons for putting Hun in the second wave of the original line.

Why they waited so long to release Krang in his body I don't know. I always thought they should have made him part of the Toon Turtles line.
