If You Directed TMNT 4

I was just curious. If you had the chance to direct a TMNT 4, what would you do. What kind of style would it be in (80's, MTV, flashy, John woo-like, etc.)? Would it be light or dark tone? Who'd voice the guys?
Most important, what would the story be about? I just thought it would be cool to know what your guys' visions specifically for a tmnt 4 looks/sounds like. The more detailed, the better.

If I directed it(WHich is actually one of my dreams, I'm really into film making) I would make it really gritty and dark, and be based off of Mirage as much as possible......I'd probabl;y get it a a PG-13 or possibly even R rating. Casey would have a large role, too.

Well, I think I would take a sci-fi approach like Stargate. In accordance with movie continuity, I would start with the boys receiving a distress call from Professor Jordan Perry of TGRI. Investigating, the turtles encounter the remnants of the Foot Clan and try to battle their way to the TGRI building in one piece. Eventually they get there, with many Foot chasing them, and they find out that the building is swarming with Utroms. Misunderstanding, a fight ensues involving the TMNT, Foot, and Utroms. The turtles get transported to another dimension with the Foot soldiers and meet Fugitoid (Honeycutt) and the Triceratons. To keep it separated from the book, either April or Casey is with them (or both).

Back on Earth, Splinter and the Utroms try to get the group back while explaining that it's not TGRI but TCRI and Professor Perry is one of them. They changed the name to sound more environmentally safe.

The movie would go back and forth between these two scenes until it's resolved with everyone coming back with an army of Triceratons at their heels. A battle begins inside. Finally, the Utroms and the Triceratons leave Earth by the teleportation device and the building blows up, leaving the Foot, the turtles, Splinter, Casey, and April outside.

The Foot Clan ninjas denounce their allegiance to their clan and train with Splinter--eventually becoming under the tutelage of Leonardo.

Yes, this is like the story from the Mirage book AND the new toon but with a few twists which I think could work.

Jarrah, you DO realize that TNM wasn't a continuation of the movie universe.....They just used the same set so they wouldn't have to build a new one.

Not this again, People like you need to accept that NM is set after the movies, just as some of us like myself need to accept that Shredder is a Utrom in the new cartoon. It wasn't just the use of the subway lair, there were so many other hints, mainly Splinter's ear being cut and Shredder's quote before Venus jumped out and attacked him, "Once I finish you off I will seek out the old rat, and slice off his other ear!"

I always thought that in the new toon the evil Utrom was only controlling the Shredder suit and Oroku Saki was in league with it. Are you guys saying that Oroku Saki is an Utrom, too?

They did it to be different. So it wasn't like every other incarnation of the turtles....I like it.

Dark style, Mirage-ish like the 1st movie. voices, original voices and similar appearance as movie 1.
story would be hard to think of...no shredder, but maybe the Oots...or Triceratons or something crazy, the B-story would be some issue Raph is forced to deal with, maybe he falls for some chick....

I'd make it very 80's retro... and keep it a cartoon... I'd have lots of fun with it... everyone would probably hate it, but I would have as much fun as possible with it... bring back the old toon turtle I would!

Rapheal got enough backstory in the other movies. Maybe Mikey can do somethin, or Don can be impressed with all the Ultrom/Triceraton technology, or maybe Leo can kick major ass or somethin...

i think the shredder utrom angle is intriguing, and would defenitely have them in space.
but i'd love to have krang in it. although he was a bastardization of the utroms. and bebop and rocksteady would be in there, though their rights are tangled up.
