Off The Card...On The Net

Some of you who were around last year may remember a collector's resource that I was a part of. www.offthecard.com

We featured TMNT news, along with news from other TOY lines, and our bread and butter: Visual Guides. Images of each toy released, in a sharp, clean format which showed off every angle of a figure and it's weapons, all within the same image. I was the TMNT guy over there, and I assure you, I made sure you got your daily dose of Turtles.

In February of this year, circumstances came up, and OTC went Off The Net. But on July 4th, we officially declare our independence again, and OTC will be back, TMNT news and all! For now, we have the forums open, and I'm extending a warm welcome to the T-drome community.

Krang and folks, I'm not trying to steal your thunder...at all. We won't be doing misc. TMNT news, toys only. Very similar to Figures.com or Action-Figure.com.

In addition to TMNT toys, we'll have the obligatory Star Wars news, Lord of the Rings, Marvel Legends, etc. What makes us so different from those other two sites I mentioned? Take a look around our forum, and I think you'll figure it out. We're all working class stiffs.

We look for our toys in our free time, run this site as a fun HOBBY, not a job. Our reporting style reflects that, and even before I was staff at OTC, I always found their style the most enjoyable to read. Figures.com and A-F.com are great sites, don't get me wrong, but we're in this just to have fun, let loose, and inform people. Plus, we will hopefully have a devoted TMNT guy again. I hope to see some of you there!

Yeah man, R2N is gone. Our staff had a rather unfriendly (and very public) fight, a little back stabbing and lying...it really was unfortunate for all people involved, and the readers.

Alot of the heavy posters from R2N have been gathered at the OTC forums for a couple of weeks, padding our posts. I'm sure you'll see some familiar faces.

Great! I have been waiting for awhile for it to come back on. Before it went offline, I was Gimli.

Glad to hear OTC is coming back, it was one of my favorite general action figure sites. Mainly because of the great visual guides, and for the great coverage of lines that largely get ignored on other sites(like TMNT or Lord of the Rings: Armies of Middle Earth, for two examples).
