I am currently in college and after 3 weeks of sweat and tears I've spoke to my lectureres about everything, which is pretty much the bullying and lack of a 1000 word essay and I pretty much got stressed over nothing.

I don't want to leave, i'm enjoying my course. its just the company I'm not enjoying. Speaking of which i'm sitting talking to a guy in my course just now.

I think this will be a good year.

Sounds like things are shaping up for you now Swany! I hope everything improves and you can put all the crap you put up with behind you :)

Starting a new phase in your life can be really stressful and scary so a meltdown is perfectly acceptable. When I started college the first time I had this really strange feeling that I was moving forward in life but standing still at the same time. It freaked me the hell out and quit college after only 5 weeks. When I went back the second time, I got the same feeling, but I wa able to push through all the doubts & insecurities and really enjoy myself again.

And if you ever feel overwhelmed again, send me a pm!! :D

Ok, so today, I didn't get off to much of a good start...

In my art class, we had a substitute, which I guess was alright. It's just, two students that sit by me kept ticking me off and the substitute didn't seem to notice. Because of them, I didn't get much work done -- a project we were supposed to finish -- and I don't think the teacher's gonna be too happy about that when she comes back. Also, one of them took a surreal image I was gonna glue into my notebook for extra credit, but now I can't because he took it and cut it up and made a mess on top of that, which I mostly cleaned up. It's like, they figured they could take advantage of me because of the fact that the regular teacher wasn't there.

Now I hope we don't have a sub again for a long time and hopefully the regular teacher will let me finish my project. I can't really think of anything to do except talk to her about what happened.

Stryker, remember that whole load of **** that people like saying about life? "It's a journey", or "you never know the people you affect". I think one of those comes into play right now. There are many people that will definately be affected if you vanish of the face of the earth, no matter what you may or may not think. I hope you feel better soon. If you need to talk to someone, talk to someone. No use just not doing anything.

Unfortuately the whole world is full of people like that. Once you wouldn't really find them so often as you do now. To be honest, I think there is a sort of an ego plague sweeping across the globe, attacking people one by one to just muck around like that. Either that or they just haven't fully grown up yet. I'm going to stick with the latter.

I think what you have planned out is all that you can really do, I'm afraid. Hopefully all goes well with your teacher.

I feel like venting...
In the last two weeks I have had to move and start a new job.
It's a good thing and a bad thing overall I am pretty happy but I am so stressed out. I am back in Philly working in my old stomping ground of Center City which I love, but I am living in the burbs so I have a decent train ride everyday and a 7 block walk between work and the train. I couldn't find the right platform for the first two days and kept missing trains because before I lives in the city and could walk but now I am a commutor...agh
At least I can play my DS and catch up on my games

I am not adjusting well to the new apartment. We had one week to find a place and I wish now we would have had more time. It's a very pet friendly place or so they said until my 8 month old beagle mix puppy barks when we left her home to go to the store and we had a note on our door when we got home. We were there for not even a whole day when this happened. What a welcome...besides the fact we hear dogs in every apt. in our hallway. We put her in doggy daycare which I hope will help to socialize her and get her used to outside noise, people and other dogs.
Does anyone have any good tips on puppy training? She has major separation anxiety because of the way she was treated before we got her. She was taken from her mom to early and neglected so she is very attached to me. If I leave the room she freaks out. I love her but I don't now how to help her...I leave her alone to try and get her used to me being away but I just hope this daycare things works better or I am afraid we will have to move again.

My job is cool, its my first 9-5 type of job and I just hope it gives me the chance to start working on my art again. Being an animator right now is so hard. No one hires for more then a project to project basis and I always need another job. I hope being back in Philly and having weekends free or work for the first time ever will help my creativity flow again.

I have time to surf the drome during the day now though :P

So... To make someone feel better, you're offering a brownie that doesn't taste good? What's next, giving someone a hammer to straighten out their toe if they stub it?

i'm glad y r here to ease the jam,i especially appreciate y for giving a hand when someone got his post deleted and reduced into a virtual confusion, and i also appreciate y changed back to yr original sig.
now i see how it is,yes,i did say the brownie tasted no good, but that's what i'm saying,my mum made it,and whatever it tastes terrific or terrible it fills me with warm, because she is never good at cooking and she barely cooks at all.everytime when i selfishly complained about it and she used to joke around "make sure y marry a cook forward,my dear."but she also told me "y kno what honey, turns out Mrs.Y sucks at cooking too,and she told me her son never complained to her about that, and they go out for every meal or order takeout instead, and most importantly, they work it out very well."
if y still don't get what i mean, here is a summary of my point:there r lots lots of things which are not as well expected in our life, and some of them can be changed by us but some can not, such as age and death, natural calamities, ect.what could we do about them?we can't just live forever in this planet and never get old, neither can we stop the act of God,all we can do is:first of all, admit the miserable things as how they r,and secondly, see what could we do about them to make them less miserable, but never try to turn the miserable into the amiable, that just never pay off for we can never change the late pizza back to fresh baked.what could we do about late pizza then?they r alread late, could it be still eaten?no,sane ppl won't advice y to eat them, but should y really want to eat them, make sure y won't eat too much, and should y have already eat them up,y have to stand the result all by yourself.
i hope i didn't miss the point,i always do that when i try to give a speech.y want to kno what my problem is?i don't want to scare y,but to tell truth,i got a problem to understand other ppl's feelings,i have no problem to understand other ppl's meanings, generally, but i do have this problem to understand their feelings or related.it's very hard to explain, but i believe this is due to partly gene partly circumstance i live in.my dad got the similar problem as me too,and i shell not expound more about my living background coz i simplely can't recall much of my childhood and all i remeber is this feeling: it sux.so y see everyone got his own problem, what could i do about mine?except y r unable to stop it and keep moving on.to quote the moto of my hero in the end:nothing is permanet,we should flow with changes.

I feel your pain...I am trying to train my 4mth old Shih Tzu to be alone, but not stress out about it. Have you tried buying an old school alarm clock that ticks? They like it because it reminds them of their mom's heartbeat. Does she have free range of your apartment or do you put her in a room and close the door? If you put her in a room, you could try getting a used baby gate and put it in the door instead of shutting it so she can see the rest of the apartment and not feel so confined. We actually found that a soft light if she's in a room helps calm her down like a night light or something. I hope it gets better :) It's hard to see them unhappy & not know what they need to make them feel better.

I have a bit of a dilemma. Our family is trying to come up with a present for my neice who is turning 18 soon.

The only problem is, she's....useless, in the nicest term possible. The only things she does are

1. live on the phone
2. whine about 'tendonitis' from her job (more from being on the phone)
3. complain about the Two chores she does in the household (laundry for two and microwaving some dinner Once in a rare while...maybe after watching the Food network.)

It's so hard, cuz all she wants are either gift cards or money. For a while she wanted to get her driver's license (mostly cuz a boyfriend mentioned it, I think), but now she doesnt want to do much of anything. She barely works at her job, and she claims to have physical problems whenever she's there (She can't even push carts for crying out loud!).

I love my neice, but dammit, she's totally braindead in the terms of Reality. she lives for tabloids, gossip and celebrity ********. I honestly don't see her making anything of her life at this point.

Gah, I'm supposed to be focusing on her birthday right now, but all this stuff going on right now is driving me friggen nuts. Can anyone give me some Worthwhile ideas for her birthday? Nothing nasty, if you please.... her mentality's something more of a demented middle schooler.

In a nutshell:

You post, no one understands, they ask, you retort in obnoxious fashion, you get insulted, you insult back, things snowball, you get warned.

You want your status back? Hold thy tongue.. or keyboard, rather. If people react to you in a way you don't like, just restrain yourself. If it bugs you that much, do what Jo said: PM one of the moderators and they'll take it from there. Keep that up for about a month or so and you'll get a yellow box instead of two orange ones. Then, after another amount of time, you'll see those silver stars again.

and to expand on that point, either had i asked some of them where bothered them in my posts or already brought out that point of mine in the past threads,i'm so here to repeat my only challenge:do i really deserve all the punishments fell on me up to now?
i'd better make it brief a litttle or i'm gonna get accused of digressing again.

Hey, the only reason I have any problems with you is the fact that for some reason you think that I'm out to get you banned or something, which is not the case. At all. As for the "do I really deserve all the punishments" thing...well, that's not up to me to say. I'm not a judge, I'm not a god, and I'm not a mod. All I know is that most of your 'punishments' revolves around fights that stemmed from giant misunderstandings, and about 75% of the time we can barely make out what you are saying which causes said misunderstandings. That's it.

Gah, I'm supposed to be focusing on her birthday right now, but all this stuff going on right now is driving me friggen nuts. Can anyone give me some Worthwhile ideas for her birthday? Nothing nasty, if you please.... her mentality's something more of a demented middle schooler.
For the present, definitely go with a gift card. How much is up to you. Maybe perfume? Make-up, earrings (if she has her ears pierced), a watch, shoes, a handbag, a biography about her favorite celebrity...things like that. If you need any more suggestions, I'll be happy to name off a few more.

And don't worry about her mentality. Either she was born that way, or she just needs a year or two to grow up. Give her time...she should come right in the end. :)

i'm so glad the long time remained misunderstanding is today simplely explained off so finely, thank y KROW.

actually,i've been thinking about this already, but for some part i got a different opinion from y.y kno,i do really don't s much difficulties in my posts, but the fact is thoes grumbled they never asked.and at this point i intend to present y a entire course of asking from my view:what do y mean by saying [whatever]--what the heck is that? or the like.but instead of doing that correctly, what do they usually do to express their confusion about my posts?"shut up!!","wtf r y doing?!","it's unintelligible!" now may i ask y how on earth could y kno what r their problems with what y write and what's wrong with yr posts according to thoes obscure responses?and all the ironies is here i'm the one that actually don't get a damn clue, not them.ox0
and to expand on that point, either had i asked some of them where bothered them in my posts or already brought out that point of mine in the past threads,i'm so here to repeat my only challenge:do i really deserve all the punishments fell on me up to now?
i'd better make it brief a litttle or i'm gonna get accused of digressing again.
Perhaps it's just me, but I sense that you enjoy confusing people and wasting their time. From that lengthy post, the only necessary idea is that you need people to specify what they don't understand from your posts. That's why people are running low on patience for you. You had one point to make, and you turned it into a poorly-worded essay.

For that part you mentioned,I decided that I won't blame anyone. You know I may not be very accustomed to give my point directly,'un I know the most western people usually do,but that's just the way I am,who basically feel kinda difficult to express opinions directly,I can't change that,I was born that way,it's just in my blood, inheritance.I don't know whether does it sounds crazy to you,but sometimes I really find it a little hard to give my point(uh...what's my point now...?),'un sometimes I find i've missed the point until I finish my whole speech.I think perhaps many people have the same problem as the latter one,but the difference is I'm the sorta do it more frequently than them.Maybe that's why they don't get it,I think.

Why is it that some people have the pure ability to hurt you... And they are always the ones you care for most. Why can't this person say, upon knowing you are upset, that they're sorry?

Why can't I say things right over IM and end up sounding like a bad person. Why do I ruin things.

Why have I been crying for a half hour and unable to stop.

And it's at these times that I hate what my life has become. Endless medical bills with no results. Feeling crappy every day of my life. Being no fun because of it. Ruining plans, talks that revolve around my health for the day or hour or minute...

gobo

You're harder on yourself than I am on myself. Were I constantly stressed with medical crap like you are, I would make no apology for discussing it. If you want to stop making that the main idea of all your conversations, ask people to help keep your mind off of it for that reason. You're allowed to do that. You're allowed to feel bad too. Just quit beating yourself up for it. It's distressing to others... even moreso than the reasons you keep worrying about. Now, go watch some House. :)

Aww those are all good suggestions. Honestly I think the biggest problem is her need to be close to me all the time. We are her third family. and I think the one before us took her from her mom too early so she has horrible separation anxiety from that and from the fact before we got her she was kept in a cage constantly. The clock is a good idea because she does sleep with me every night. She rips blankets to shreds though.
I used to leave the tv on sometimes. I really hope doggy daycamp helps her to become independent.
Good luck with your puppy too. They are so great to have around :D

*sigh*

So much for a happy eighteenth birthday...

The very niece I spoke about a few days ago has done the unthinkable... My brother came home this evening and discovered her room completely gutted, and a letter. It turns out the great-aunt that was always trying to adopt her away from my brother has been sneaking stuff behind my brother's back, and has moved my niece out of her dad's place.

Turns out she's been lying to us for months now... Everytime we asked about how school was doing, her search for college, she always acted like she wasn't really doing Anything. Turns out, the great aunt has been doing applications for her and she's been accepted into a couple colleges for Nutritional studies... but the girl's blown off so much of her schooling, no psats, no sats, no real Work... she has to take aptitude tests to show that she can do the work. That's if her Great-Aunt doesn't do the homework FOR her like she has for so many years....

He called her, and her excuse for moving out because she doesnt like doing 'all the chores' in the house... the total amount of ****ing chores she did was nothing - she did laundry for two people ONCE a week, doesn't clean her room, doesn't wash dishes, no vacuuming, nothing. She whined about Sweeping snow off the porch, for Christ's sake. It's the worst case of "Cinderella Syndrome" you could ever imagine..

Needless to say, my brother (who doesn't show emotion) came to the house in absolute tears. We've been talking with him for four hours straight. The thing that worries me so much is that he Owns Guns. He's going through a horrible divorce where, again, the children are being brainwashed to hate him and treat him as nothing but a Wallet. I am beyond scared that he is going to try and kill himself...

I'm so tired of seeing him hurt. By his ex girlfriend, ex wife, and now his ****ing KIDS.... I am so angry right now, but what can I do... She's being so selfish (she's 18, its expected), all she's thinking is that she'll be able to NOT do chores. All she wants to do is live on the phone, screw around with her boyfriend, tout that she's 18 now so she doesn't have to do anything..

I want to just write her the most blistering, anger-filled email to her, disowning her and wishing she would rot in hell with her bitch of an Aunt.
Don't get me wrong, we're happy that she's been getting into college (maybe). We've known that she's wanted to move in with her aunt, and we could have TALKED about her going there after graduating. It wasn't Out of the Question... But she was acting like she had no interest in school, constantly blew me off when I asked about her college search. She lied to my face about EVERYTHING.

I feel so betrayed....

The very niece I spoke about a few days ago has done the unthinkable... ETC. my brother ... I am beyond scared that he is going to try and kill himself. .ETC.

I've heard and witnessed that story all too many times. You know an average family, or family member. Something goes wrong and for whatever reason, mom and dad decide they can't or won't work through it for better or for worse. Mom gets overrun and dad becomes a pathetic loser, sitting in the back of a movie theater, numb and silent among his three daughters (and their obnoxious friends who won't stop giggling and talking on the phone).

All I can say is if you're doing all you can to be there for him, then keep it up. Don't let him let himself get sucked dry by everything. Watch his back. Remind him that life goes on. And yeah... I don't know the details of the divorce, but -- I hope if there's anything to learn from this, you both know what that is.

If and when you send a scathing letter to that **** of a niece, be pointed and direct to her but bear in mind the possibility that someday, somehow, she'll realize what an a$$fu(k she's been to everyone, especially her own father.

How old is your brother? In Australia they pay you to go to school. He couldn't be luckier. I asked his age because there's no point in him getting all hung up on a girl yet if he's still in college. He needs to graduate and then establish himself in the world before he goes there. Girlfriends/boyfriends do nothing but divert focus. There will always be a problem somewhere down the line that will cause you to mess up in your school work that could be avoided if you just put feelings aside till you graduated. If the person really likes you or cares about you then they will understand that. The person your with when your 20 or younger is most likely not the person you will end up marring and being with your whole life. It doesn't work like that in this day of age. Ask someone how many times they were "in love" then ask them how many relationships they've had. Sadly enough most people get love and lust confused so you'll hear allot of "6 times and 7 partners"

Well thanks guys, like I said it's alright. I told myself I'd ignore her completely but part of me is still soft and if she calls me I answer the phone and I never deny her visitation. Even if she's a f*** up she's still my Mom. In a morbid sort of way it feels awkwardly like everything's fallen into place.

I got to Europe*Life time goal*, My Mom and Step Father separate, I quit my Job, I sign up for college, My Mom goes back to drugs and repeats what she did to my Father 15 years ago*Which was running up the bills and not paying them, cheating on my Step Dad, and eventually abandoning us all when things got their worst*, My house becomes dangerous to live in because enemies of my Step Father found out where it is because of my Mom so I had to move out, I move in with my Grandparents*Basically putting me back exactly where I was when I was 4 years old. My Mom left my Dad, My Dad couldn't afford the apartment alone, we moved in with my Grandparents*, Since I moved into another city and left it all behind I felt like I was starting fresh, then I moved to Student housing by the college and started once again just a week later, Now I'm in college.

It's a strange string of events but it all works out. It's a good thing I moved when I did because the house I was staying in is being sold in February. Meaning had I been there I'd be homeless, or end up where I was headed anyways.

Alright enough about my life, it sounds allot more exciting then it really is.

Roommate's gone for the weekend. Anyways, I'm at the computer, checking email and stuff... while waiting for a page to load, I casually rest my left thumb on the desk, letting my fingers drum its underside. Typical habit of mine. Anyways, something small flakes off and I catch it in the palm of my hand. I observe it in the light and find that it is unmistakably a genuine --

SNOT PARTICLE.

I've been using this desk for oh about a month. I initially noticed the underside was kinda rough, but I looked the first time and assumed the strange black smears were some kind of tar gunk. I looked again today -- the entire underside is covered in a heavy screen of dried noogies. I did not realize until now that this strange bodily discharge turns darker as it ages.

There were so many times I forgot to wash my hands before eating, after sitting at the computer... :(

On top of that, he's a really nice, normal guy, otherwise. Awesome even. I like him. He's a good man. More importantly, a good roommate. I want this to stop, first of all. And I wanna go on as though nothing's changed.

I'm planning on waiting til he gets back (Monday) just let on that I know his secret and... that there's no way in hell I'm scrubbing those things off my desk.

Ok, seriously. This has what it's come to.

I cannot. Cannot take not feeling well anymore. Every day of my life is just me trying to get through the hours feeling awful. My work has suffered. My schoolwork has suffered. My life has suffered.

I don't know what to do. My next specialist appointment isn't until March, and I made that in November. That's how long it takes to get in. My friend tells me how close I am to getting to that appointment, but I see it as so far away. I just can't take it anymore. I can't have any kind of life. I don't want to do anything. Anyways... yeah thought it was a decent plan. Mostly I was so grossed out -- in a way it's good I found out when he wasn't around, otherwise... I dunno what I would've done. Something permanent, most likely. At least I have some time to calm down about it. So weird -- every other table is clean. For some reason, though, this desk seems to bring out the most awful habits in him.

Now, I've held my peace for the most part but now I must speak:

To syd:

-- I mean this with the best of intentions: don't take other people's comments so seriously. Even if they're trying to mock you, even if you're offended, let it go. Please. I think it would be most unfortunate if you were banned.

To everyone:

-- either you're all so sensitive you'd cry if a toddler insulted your mother or you're so bored you need someone to beat on. (I assume it's the latter) I say take no offense at syd's comments. Enjoy them. :) They're hilarious. Engrish-in-action is a proven stress reliever. I for one will be most sad to see him eviscerated from the Drome. This place'll go right back to being normal, and boring as hell.

Jo- I don't know what ails you specifically, but I can relate to some extent.

I tore the labrum (cartilage) in my hip at the end of last semester (thank God it was after finals) during a belt test. I lost virtually all ROM in my right leg and was ordered by my physician to cease all land sports. Light swimming is the exception. No jogging, crunches, heavy lifting, kicking, jumping, stretching, twisting... My doctors told me this is the result of not only this type of exercise but how I'm built -- accumulated over many years of physical stress. My tendons, for some reason, around most of my major joints, don't do their job of keeping the bones in place.

Fighting's one thing, but then I couldn't even do basic things like packing boxes, lifting luggage over my head, walk to class while wearing a backpack -- even sitting. All I did over winter break was lay on my back. It's been a month now and I still can't stand for more than five minutes. In the meantime, every joint in my body has stiffened, muscles ache constantly and have withered from disuse. By day, I get around with the help of a cane, and very good friends and family members. At night, the cartilage flares up. I don't take pain medication because then otherwise I won't know if something's wrong.

Anyway, it sounds like what you're experiencing is far worse. Waiting isn't easy, I realize. You feel like you're wasting time and missing out on accomplishing the things you want to do. Like you can't possibly have a life. That's the illusion that, if you keep believing it, will drive you insane. Now unless waiting will forever jeopardize your health (ie threaten your life) or finances, best to accept it and count your blessings. There's always something to do, even as a suffering invalid You just need to be creative. If you're out of ideas, I'll gladly help you brainstorm.

Mentally challenged kids trying so hard to tie their shoes are also big stress relievers, but I don't think it's actually too noble to laugh at them.

You only want syd to stay here because his disability to pronounce himself in clear English amuses you, not because he adds so much to the community. Okay... I was reluctant to admit that I don't think syd is all that bad. The point is, you guys seem to relish misconstruing and getting so righteously offended at everything he says instead of either (1) ignoring him or (2) actually reading his posts (which as of late, have been improving significantly, only you'd much rather pretend they weren't). I think it's better to laugh at someone and let them be than to curse them and pelt them with rocks.

I did not read syd's initial "hyperactive" response as stupid or insulting. It was undeniably "non American" and "non Western European" but it was not frustratingly long or difficult to read. I took it lightly, rather than personally. I think he's a lot more harmless than you want him to be.

And please don't speak for my thoughts. I'm not the one writing post after post that publicly points out the furriner who already sticks out like a sore thumb.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I think quite a few of us have given him a fair chance, myself included. Even though he has laid back on the insults and has made quite a bit of progress compared to when he first came here...he has a long way to go. Good relationships aren't given out like candy. Well... I'm sorry to hear that, I just about to post something about the coming soon Spring Festival here, then I saw this sad news of yours, so I think I'd better say something before I babble about my issue...

I don't know how many of you guys celebrate it? Anyway I finally expact its advent. I'll go buying alot of mushrooms and rice noodles for hot pot, and I'm gonna buy a hat, and perhaps I need to get a neo glasses, and I'm gonna have a great sashimi dinner with my parents...

I'm considering these when a gun shot blasted the crap out of me, then I realized that it was a firecracker...= -|||, very cool, it's still 1 week to wait and someone began to let off firecrackers? Well, don't tell me it was the same A-hole last year!

There was a A-hole settled next to our apartment, last year on the New Year's Eve he was shooting off firecrakers for almost the whole night long, when everyone else including me in our community was deeply sleeping in our beds, that selfish bastard! I was waken up with a startle, my heart almost stopped at that moment when I heard the shots, that selfish son of gun! He had already beening shooting off his stupid firecrackers all daytime, except the time during which he have meals ot pee I guess, that stupid creature, he does pee doesn't he? I really doubt he is a human I tell you. The whole daytime, he was there "kaboom kaboom" (I'm not sure whether I used the right description of sound), doing nothing but "kaboom kaboom", psychosis! And I'm not kidding, he persisted that way about 3 days or more, at which time I was preparing a very important English test, and I was planning to have a good review during the 7 days holiday, but that cursified ****! He gotta have Tourette, otherwise he's an imbecile. I said he is an imbecile because he went right down to stand in front of our department's door picking on me after I yelled at him out of window for being disturbed to sleep. "Get out of there! Wuss!" He bawled at the door, the windows of everyone else's department was lighten almost at once, he kept yelling at, yelling at, using very bad words which I've no idea how to translate into English,=_-||||, and I was nearly driven to rush out of the door to dismemeber him apart when my parents dragged me back, harshing me down, that lucky stupid doofus! He's a psychosis! He himself could't sleep and he made everyone else arrounding him awake with him, and no one even tried to warn him or something, not a single one! What's his secret? I grumbbled into asleep after saying to my parents "Let him bring it on!" The next day he was still "kaboom",=_-|||,well,someday he'd "kaboom" himself once for all,I thought.

...You know, I know that condemning other people is wrong, but this imbecile... he just... really made you wanna chop him up! No one was there enjoying together with him, and he was just nonstop "kaboom kaboom" one after another wearing a funny purplish blue suit, that's creepy!0[]o||||

And this year he was wearing a flamboyant eiderdown jacket... evolved...? =_-||| I thought this to myself as I looked out of the window to see what sort of sick it was who began to "kaboom" this early before the Eve... In 1 week, he will start his revenge for last year I ruining his pervertiblely self-entertainning night, I think maybe I'd better pray that I'll find another place by then.

They're not actually new, just new to Michiganders. Apparently we have stone age traffic lights. We have blinking red lights for left turns and it means stop and wait until it's clear. I guess most of the country has green, yellow, blinking yellow, and red arrow lights for left turns. They're changing so all the states will be the same because people from out of state are confused...but now we'll be confused. There are much better ways to spend our money, our economy here is ****.

Is there such thing is a woman anymore? I mean...seriously. Why does it seem like every female I meet is one of these trendy hookers, who do little but sleep around, talk about boys and do their makeup? I used to think that kind of immature bullsh*t ended when you got older, but it just seems worse and worse to me.

Why is it so impossible for me to find a woman who's just a nice person, who cares about the future and about having a good life with someone you love, rather than filling their snatch and moving on to the next dozen guys, right after getting crunk and "goin' to burn"?

What gets me are the ones who do nothing but complain about how they can't find any nice guys to date. Maybe if we weren't so turned off by the fact that you've slept with 75 people at the age of 20, been groped by every dude in the area code, or constantly show up at someone's house "trippin'" we wouldn't have to walk away and ignore your ignorant f*cking mouth.

WHERE HAVE ALL THE GOOD WOMEN GONE!? TELL ME!

Believe me, Peanut, we're out there...

Women who Don't spend their teens and twenties screwing every guy in their vicinity (such as myself) are sadly becoming a rarity. The way tv and everything portrays women and sex, we've got friggen middle schoolers giving blowjobs in their school bathrooms...

The hard part's just getting decent people together. There's a lot of crap to work through until you find someone worth keeping... :ohwell:

The good ones are in hiding ;) Everything you say is so true...I have many galpals that do everything you listed then wonder why they hook up with losers....cuz normal guys who want mature interactions are frightened/disgusted by them?? Maybe that's it...of the 12 girls I know really well I would only set 5 of them with guys I like. 2 have boyfriends but the other 3 are happily single because of the male counterparts to the crazy girls you mentioned.

If you ever move to London I know 3 available non-whorish girls :D

Seriously, I agree. You can find really nice people who you can connect with in other parts of the world on the internet, but not in the same area code as you...such a drag...of course, you do meet some weirdos online but that's another story :)

Problem for me is, every time I find a nice girl, she lives in another country. And if I find one around here, she turns out to be a lesbian. Guess they realized all Oklahoma men are insecure, macho douchebags who pad their ego with cowboy hats and Ford trucks. *sigh*

Most of the good girls are disappearing, and trying to find one in middle America is like trying to find a Hockey fan at the Super Bowl.

Hey, man.

In case you didn't get my PM, I'll post my opinion here.

Now I know we don't talk to each other much, but I just read your rant about women, and I feel like I have to say something...

See, as I grew up, I learned the best way to meet nice women is to not have ANY expectations....when you meet girls, you should let things happen on their own, because if ya' don't, you could end up with LOTS of disappointments. If things work out, good for you. If they don't, go for the next one. In my opinion, you're much too concerned about this. You don't wanna have gray hair at such a young age, now do you?

I have the same problem only with guys.I've been shunned in my colege class 'cause I've never smoked hash, I've never been drunk. I dont drink very often. I read a lot, I make jokes about internet memes and stuff that other people dont get. I've only had one boyfriend, and we never went further than kissing. *shrug*

Also, I have short hair, I dont wear make up, and I only see clothes for fuction (skirts/shorts for winter, jeans and a long jacket in winter. Unless I'm going out, then I dress up). I'm not about to start wearing short skirts and make up juust to get guys interested. I'm not the kind of person to change just to attract a guy. I've accepted that I'll be single until a nice guy comes along. (kinda, I am a woman mind. I do get moments of "OMG am I so unattractive?")

Screw it though, enjoy being single. It won't last forever.

Respectable philosophy, that... As long as you're willing to change for those you care about (when/if needed), that's enough. And, by that, I mean that if you would happen to have pets, you met a guy who was perfect for you but was allergic, you wouldn't be too stubborn to compromise. I don't mean that you'd forsake your identity just to impress them (although, that would be impressive if you could pull it off since that takes massive determination).

Does it ever appear to anyone else that my comments are always debates with myself? Strange...

In my case, I've had only a handful of serious relationships. Then, this past summer, I found the perfect one. She was beautiful, funny, interesting, all that good stuff. She was only here for the summer, however, and had to go back to Brazil afterwards. It was kinda a Grease thing. She asked me to try the long distance thing with her and as reluctant as I was, I agreed. We spoke on the phone and e-mailed practically every day.

Then, I ask my mom to lend me money to go to Brazil and she agreed. I told Ms. Thing about it and she got super excited but quickly got all depressed. Guilt over came her and she admitted that she slept with her ex-boyfriend a few days ago. She tried justifying it by telling me she didn't "finish" and blah blah. I've always told myself that if a woman ever cheated on me, I'd leave her cold turkey. Now that it's happened, it's hard. She keeps sending me letters and whatnot and telling me she needs me and that she swears on her life that she'll never do it again. She DID admit this on her own; if not, I would never have found out. So I'm contemplating on whether I should take her back. I've told a few people on IM about this, but I wanna know what others think.

Do cheaters deserve a second chance?

Unfortunately, cheating is an incredibly human thing to do, I've found. That is to say, it happens more often than you'd expect, to people you wouldn't expect it to happen with. It's my opinion that everyone is capable of ****ing up, and a long distance situation is slightly more condusive to that sort of thing, but if you think you can trust her and deal with the distance, then I'd definitely give her a second chance.

It is all a matter of trust Cure. I agree, oddly enough. with both Doom and Ai. It's gonna be hard to forgive, and you'll probably be a bit paranoid, but if you feel so very strongly about her she does deserve the 2nd chance. Now if a 3rd chance is needed, then you may need to call it quits. But like Doom said, everyone makes mistakes. No one's perfect. And she did confess, which says something about her.

You're all lucky I'm here.

Cure:

Be careful with this one. Emotions tend to trip people up without them ever realizing it. If she's cheating on you, meditate long and hard about the amount of effort you want to put into this relationship. Remember, YOU were able to go this long without cheating, and you should expect the same amount of devotion and respect from her, as well. If you feel compelled to forgive her, implement a two strike rule. If she does this again, f*cking drop the whole thing like a hot potato (if you haven't already.) There's no reason to torture yourself over someone who doesn't give a damn.

Love is like a drug. It feels great while you're on it, but the crash is brutal.

In your case - I really don't think so. She did it once and she might do it again soon, even if she feels bad about it now. Because you're not around and writing e-mails/IM-ing/phoning is just not enough to keep the feeling warm.

This is a very distant relationship and they always blow on a long run. Unless she moves to the U.S. or you settle down in Brazil - there is just no virtual way it'll last for long. You two are just blocking yourselves chances to find someone living much closer, who could always be there for you.

Cure, I was wrong, maybe it's not all about sex, but I'm not sure, but either way it doesn't matter anymore, for both of you are still young, you know you both have more important things to do at this age, it's indeed painful to say but let's face it, it's just not the right time.

Maybe you shouldn't spend all your time in suspecting each other's fidelity, maybe you shouldn't over and over again hesitate about giving or not giving a second chance, for all thoes lovers in this world who fall in love for real but at the wrong time, maybe all they should do is to pray for each other and keep the feelings respectively within their hearts forward, maybe all they should do is to focus on more important things at that time and sincerely wish each other live a better life than themselves, maybe one day they will reunion somewhere, if they let not the lie cut off, maybe by that time they both changed, but it won't matter anymore, for they will still ask each other out for a drink now and then and talk about thoes sweet old days, for they both will understand more than they used to that what a true happiness the future is.

Don't worry about time goes old, don't feel sad that separation grows pain, trust me, this world is large but small as well, as long as you don't give up, there will always be a miracle.

Surely the grass is always green on the other side? For the youth nowdays live a happy easy life, they think the so called grey childhood as cool and special, even worse, as a source of gossip.

The fact is I was once more reminded of their talks that day about how one friend of their friend's got abused by her father and finaly committed suicide, their shining of curiosity in their eyes as they related the whole story, so fervent I'm not sure whether they jumped or not, and their exitement, ignorant while innocent, drove you dizzy.

When he punched me in the bank at that time, atually I'd call it a serious "pat" on the outside of my left arm, that scene that day that feeling all of a sudden surged into my mind once more for the first time in 3 years. The last time when I was punched by him, I was at my godamn age of 18, sometimes I wonder how came I failed to punch back at that time, then I realize maybe I was not the man I am, or maybe it was too hurt to get myself any strength together at all. I don't even think I can remeber all of thoes craps very well these days, for a moment I thought they were some kind of hallucination or something, it's shameful to say but I even felt a little scared then, with 3 bank clerks on the other side of the counters and 1 security standing by the door.

My dear farther! I can't imagine, how came you and Mum got married so early, When both of you were still 20 some year old kids yourself, knew no love, knew no life, just fell in love in the blameful moomlight that night and next day morning prepare for the marriage already, the solemn and chaste marriage, whoes dignity was once trampled by the hormone drived young couple. For overall you don't want a child, then how came I'm here today? I've never been a parent before, but basically I know one thing about it: One, you never say you don't want a child in front of your child. Two, if you've already said it, do not say it again. Three, if you've already said it again, do not repeat it frequently. As a matter of fact, children who hear about it too often will eventually lose their interests at all in being parents someday in the future of their life, like me.

I once thought you have changed, but I forgot one thing at the same time: No one can really change at all.

But... there's something that scared the **** outta me a few years ago and still resides in my mind. That happened when I accidentally discovered his diary, written when he was like 14-15. If it makes you feel any better, my father is almost exactly like his father...same short temper, same ability to say the worst possible thing in a tough situation, but there is one major difference: my grandfather used to beat my dad and scream at him, berating him for no reason, but my dad never laid a hand on us or berated us for our choices, and he hardly ever yelled at us. If he did, you knew you had done something really stupid! So even though they share the same short temper, my dad learned how to reign it in and control it plus break the cycle of abuse. So, I think you don't have to worry about being a psycho to your offspring. You know the patterns & you know the behaviour, you don't like it, so I think you'll be able to save your kids from whatever you experienced yourself :)

I feel that way about my entire High School career.

And I did the same sh*t as Cure, no homework, but passed tests. I remember getting a 92% on my Grade 11 English exam without reading more than the first two chapters of Catcher in the Rye.

I always hated getting asked to be "seen after class" cuz I knew what was coming. "You're too smart for this, you have to do your work, you need to think about your future" blah blah blah.

There was no need to read because the next day there would be discussion. I just listened to some of it and if I got called on I would just say I didn't remember. I had the same english teacher in 11th and 12th grade so by my senior year she just stopped calling on me because she knew I didn't read.

I was in the high academic track all throughout highschool, so I chose to take a lot of classes, even senior year. Besides, at my school, you couldn't do all studyhalls or whatever. That's a waste. I loved my academic classes.

I am in a god awful mood. I've been snapping at my mum, yelling at my brothers. And moping in my bed whenever I can.

I doesent help that I am actually pissed off at my friend because he's "diagnosed" me as OCD cause my DVDs and CDs are alphabatised (It makes them easier to find) and he called me a psyco bitch 'casue he saw my yell at my wee bro. (The only part of my personaily he's seen is all happy and he's seen my cry once. So I'm not allowed to get angry)

And on top opf that I think he fancies me 'casue he keeps touching me (wee pokes and strokes) Not in the indecent way but much more that he used to. I do not want a relationship just now, it took me long enough to stop emoing over being single and to be happy being single.

Love comes along when you least expect it...and when you need it the most ;)

Anyway, on to my small problem. I broke out in hives last week. the doctor says it is because of the tremendous amount of emotional stress I have been going through at work. (which is a whole other story and not worth talking about) It's not a bad case, just on my arms and stomach really...and I'm managing it ok with over the counter allergy stuff (benadryl, claratin, and zyrtec along with benadryl cream and gold bond powder)...but they still flare up and itch like CRAZY every couple of days.

The last couple of days have been really good. just one or two tiny places, but I know come Tuesday when I have to go back to work, I will break out again. My question is....well...I've never had ANYTHING like this before. I'm immune to chicken pox, so I never had that and I am not allergic to poison ivy, oak, sumac, and the like so I have never delt with that. So, has anyone had this happen before? what was your best remedy? I know it will go away eventually, but in the mean time....HELP!! *itchy itchy*

T-mobile held my old phone number hostage for 1 grand. If I didn't pay at least 760 bucks on a past due bill, that wasn't even mine mind you, my old number would be a thing of the past.

Long story short I jumped into the future.

Katie... Lemme think on this for you. My mom gets them sometimes when she's stressed, though she just deals with them and doesn't take anything for them. I can completely understand work stress, and it's so easy to say 'deep breaths' and whatnot... But it's not easy to do! Though after this bigger outbreak, maybe they won't be so bad anymore.

...I always wait for my doctors to subscribe me to a month long holiday. ;)

And as for me? I just got my very first Valentines Day present ever (besides from my family). :D

I had two interviews (one on Saturday and one on Sunday) for a position in my local movie theater for a job..

but unfortunately, things did not go my way and I did not get the job.

Also, I'm still single, but that's besides the point...

Key word in the sentence is "natural." See, as an adjective, the word describes the subject of the sentence. In this case, the subject would be "they" or, quite literally, the tent-piercings. Thus, when you describe them as "natural," you are saying they are natural spurs.

Now, try to hold on to your brain while I blow your mind, KROW: "act" is a verb. It doesn't modify anything. It just tells me what the tent-piercings do.

WATCH ME DO SOME MAGIC!

"Dave is acting governor."

Notice how, when I say "acting," it means that Dave is the governor? It says what he's doing? He's being governor. He's governing. Nothing about it denotes a fraudulent status.

OH! SICK BURN FROM THE ENGLISH TEACHER.

Do you feel smarter? Want a diploma? Where did you graduate from, anyway?

What are natural spurs, anyway?

Oh, and don't ever call me "bunky," again. Call me "professor." Or better yet, call me "Cheech."

That means that this Dave of yours is not the actual governor, just as what I said means they're not actual spurs. But they could be natural because they would be coming out of the skin instead of a boot, hence the word, "natural." Get it?

And apparently I didn't go to F**khead University, which seems to be your alma mater.
