Should Robotic Bebop and Rocksteady have been given a better episode?

I liked the old Season 3, "Super Bebop and Mighty Rocksteady" episode because it was a cheesy funny episode. The ep had Krang's mezmerizer gadget changing the personalities of the Channel 6 news crew and others to children...then to chimps...then whatever else.

But I liked the idea of a robot Bebop/Rocksteady, and so did Playmates that they made toys of them.

Would it have been cool to see them in a more serious episode later on?
