Yeah, the Judd Winnick stuff. Even then, he was trying to honor Pedro. But yeah, that stuff seemed to bother some GL fans but it didn't really bother me. The guy was still a really great writer who could bring it when it counted. If he did social commentary it was because he did good stories and had extra room for that stuff. Nowadays they only do the social commentary stuff and don't bother with a good story.

And thats todays comics problem. Stories are told to make characters gay, bi, trans, black yellow green or blue and the story is terrible & 2 dimensional lacking any creativity.
