Looking on the guide, the hour-long premiere is playing again on the main Nick in about 30 minutes. But surely I wouldn't be so...so...I don't even know, as to watch it again already, would I?

I'm not saying 23 is actually old, just that sometimes it can feel like it, to me anyway. Heck, we're already in a generation that doesn't know what VHS tapes are. Or casette tapes.

And the mere idea that I may live long enough to hear a kid go 'What's a DVD?' is depressing in of itself.

Hey guys just joined, what a great way to bring back tmnt!! A fantastic blend of both 4kids tmnt and 80s! This is now my favorite cartoon in tv.My only concern is both previous series went 8 seasons but this nick series could be a short run with the money being spent on hollywood voice actors...

I am very very happy to see the turtles back in action! And my friend who came over though it was impressive too. He even says that's it's better than the other series! And that's some thing i might soon agree on.

I usually would like to add both positive and negative things in my reviews, but i frankly can't find anything negative about it! So let's begin.

First for the negative: The algy and worms thing was a bit odd, but it did make sense, they are turtles aren't they?

Oh, and knowing that there's ninja's in NYC just because of a ninja star? Kinda a leap of faith wouldn't you say?

yea, that's all I got for the negative!

On to the positive!

The show seemed to have a mixed feel from both the original toon, 4kids toon, and the mariage comics. It was both funny, but dark, and had a fun fast pace feel to it, but went at a slow enough pace for kids to handle!


That action scenes were epic, and what really surprised me was how the turtles were slicing at snake weed's arm, and what i thought to be blood, was gushing out of it!


Oh and did you see them interigateing snake!?!?! I was for sure Leo or one of the other turtles were going to try to stop Raph! But they supported him!!!!


The comedy was top notch, and i love the nod to micky seeing the kraang first! It was sweet!



And I love how they gave leo a role model from a TV show, even though I hate Star Trek, (well, i guess i never watched it, it might actually be good!) I think this is perfect for Leo, and helps me connect to him. Being i'm just like that when it comes to star wars



The Kraang voices are sweet, and their "logic" is very humourus.



Oh, and snake's transformation into snakeweed was sweet! He seem like a serious bad butt dude! And especially how his limbs grow!



And I'm defiantly loving this splinter!



I think how the turtles couldn't fight well besides each other was very humorous!! And it's also a great lesson to the kids out there, that if you can't work together, you get nothing done!


I also think the way the turtles meet, found, and rescued April really fits well! And while Donny's love for April may get a bit, how should i put it, odd. Being that Casey is already April's lover in all the other materials. I think this should be an interesting change, and i'll be paying close attention to her character!


And, and i love how they introduced pizza to the turtles!



The whole anime thing in the show, actually very good, i thought it would be bothersome, but, I was defiantly wrong!


Oh, and one of my favorite part, would have to be the end! SHREDDER!!!!!!!


needless to say, this is going to be a great show, and I would have to give it,
100 brain things out of 10!


Now if i only had a time machine that could jump a week into the future......

Did anyone notice all the facts they dropped?

- They called it both Mutagen AND Ooze.

- Tang Shen and Miwa were name-dropped

- Shredder is still in Japan as of this episode


Likewise anyone find it weird that even Splinter was eating the algae and worms when he was once human? The Turtles I could understand, but Splinter was human so it seems strange.

Great opening to the series. I'm glad they left most of part 2, particularly the parts with snakeweed and shredder, out of the preview clips. it make it all the more epic

So, some first impressions
* The more I look at the show, the more I think they are actually doing a good job with the look of the human characters' appearance. April and Snake looked pretty good. At first they look kinda mechanical but you quickly get used to it. I try to keep in mind that this is TV quality animation, and they have severe budget limitations. They are doing a good job.
* snakeweed... wow, i'm glad they chose to do a new mutant in the season opener. His mutation was rather graphic. And the way his torso/bottom half split to make legs... and you can see the 'flesh' and his bones there, that's gross! Perfect TMNT flavor, IMO. Glad he will be returning
* shredder's intro was a real tease. Great set-up. Hope we see him soon.
* mutagen looked really cool. When you see it up close it looks really mysterious, with all those things floating around in it. Really makes me wonder how they will pull off the toy version, because it looks way different from the standard green ooze we've seen.
* i dig the 2d flashbacks. i hope they don't overuse that format in the future though
* by far splinter has some of the best quotes! I look forward to them fleshing him out. I want to see more of him WITHOUT his robe. I want to see how they render his full rat body

Best part... the pilot is FINALLY over! While it was great, most of the clips and previews we have seen up until today have been from the pilot. So a huge chunk of the episode did not feel very 'new' to those of us who obsessively watch that stuff.

So all the episodes from here on should feel less familiar

Really like it so far. I loved everything about it except for Splinter's reason for choosing Leo as leader. I felt that was a bit of a cop out, but other than that, I really liked everything else. The fight scenes were awesome as were the characters themselves. I love how they met April and feel that Don's crush on her is cute, though I hope it's not shoved in our faces too much. I also love Splinter's stories and how he feels about the loss of Shen and Miwa, though I think Miwa may still be alive according to that bio we saw.

Some of my fave quotes:

Mikey: Did you just slap me
Leo: I was trying to calm you down.
Mikey: How would that calm me down?

Leo: Why did you make me the leader?
Splinter: You asked first.

Splinter: This is a big decision. I will have to meditate on it. *closes door and opens it a few seconds later* It's Leonardo.

There were others, but I can't remember them all at this moment. I know it'll be on again at eight my time on the West Coast feed, so I might ask my mom if she wants to watch it with me. I'd love to get her take on it.

Overall, an interesting start, and I can't wait for more.

if you go one or 2 pages back there is a link so you can see part 1 but not 2 hopefully it will come later on i did look it and it is very good and i cant wait fore more to come i think this toon is giong to be my favorite

I just watched it now, having the time in between jobs, and I love this new iteration!! So good!! So, Mikey's naming the villains, lol, so funny.

Love the Kraang, I think I'll get another figure for my collection.

Can't wait til next week!!!
