Sorry, I read more than I post. I hate starting problems, but sometimes logical arguments constructed to criticise a child's cartoon about ooze and walking turtles in a psuedoscientific manner comes off as a self parody. I know this is a forum but

I loved the premier. I grew up on the 80s one and enjoyed the 03 series. This is a good combo of the 2. I love the chemistry between the turtles. They really feel like brothers.

And I never said I wanted a bland one-dimensional Leo. There's plenty that can be done with him so he doesn't come across as being too perfect. You're entitled to your opinion, but I wasn't happy with his portrayal this time.

I'm gonna need to pay extra attention to this next episode because like I said I really didn't get the impression that they were acting so much younger than usual. Though I will say that them acting older than their age does make sense if they've been training to be ninjas their entire lives. Either way, like Vegeta said, I prefer April to have a big sister relationship with them rather than being their age.

It's personal preference. I don't like it. I don't like the whole mutating into whatever you had contact with last thing. If you like it that's great for you, but I prefer the mutagen to work like it does in the other incarnations.

I kinda agree with the last part. At the end of the episode, I'm surprised that when the Turtles decided to help April get her father back none of them said something like 'and besides.. whoever those creeps are, they have the same mutagen that turned us into what we are today. We gotta find out what they're doing with it.' or something of the sort.

and why does everybody think Snakeweed is gonna be 'freak of the week' when he's in the damn theme song???? I think Snakeweed, along with Dogpound and Fishface will be either regulars or recurring characters.

To be honest I think this Leonardo is hilarious because he tries too hard and everyone finds him corny.

I just want to add that I like the April with the big boobies better, I don't care if shes older than the tmnt

I mean why is it so weird that a woman in her late 20's hangs around with a bunch of mutated ninja turtles and a teenage girl is less weird?

First and foremost...don't give me a hard time on how "it's only the first 2 episodes"...most have enjoyed it, that's fine and dandy with me. I can't and won't tell anyone what to do, what to like and not like, and etc. It's called 'first impressions'...and if I don't like it, then I'm going to SAY that I don't like it.

If anyone says anything of "oh here's just a guy being a troll" then you're an idiot. That I CAN judge someone on. If you expect a new show to get 100% approval and love, then you are kidding yourselves.

I like the 80's cartoon, I like the 2k3 cartoon...so please don't tell me it's because "I'm just partial to this version or that version".

But I am not a fan of this one so far...at all...

*Terrible voicework that, to me, doesn't fit the turtles...I enjoy the voice cast of the 80's, the 2k3, and the live action films...but not a fan of this one so far.

The only times I have ever been annoyed by a Michelangelo version would be the TMNT CGI flick and the Next Mutation ...I can now add a third to that list...and for those who say "well he voiced Beast Boy"... no I never liked Beast Boy either...and I swear this Mikey has an IQ of either 5 or 7...

Sean Astin's Raph 'trying to be tough' is just that...trying...nothing 'tough' about this version...the other versions, and yes even ROB PAULSEN'S 80's Raph...sounded and felt a whole lot tougher than this version...to me it's just laughable in a bad way...Leo was meh and Donnie was just awkward...all I can picture is Raph's voice in Donnie's body...that's all...

*a lame 'step in the backward direction' vibe to the whole thing...in other words, it's just the 80's cartoon with a new paint job and worse jokes...ooo let's go to the pizza route all over again...ok let's go back to the 'Splinter was human' origin from the 80's cartoon...and the aliens are called The Kraangs...this is not clever...

*I'm not a fan of the animation...what more can I say...yes I know it's TV not Pixar...but to me it is just not appealing at all on a visual level...the Red Sky episodes of the 80's cartoon were more visually appealing to me, the 2k3 series as well...this to me is just ugly...and the Ninja Turtles look like babies...

You can unleash your fury on how "I'm wrong, I'm an idiot, wait until the whole series is out, and so on and so on and so on and...." etc. I'll continue to see other episodes, give it more of a chance...but I'm still going to be honest.


The one thing I had a small smile was the show Leonardo was watching...I can tell it was their take on the Star Trek: Animated Series. The animation was exactly like it was back then, and the captain even looks similar to Kirk on the cartoon.

So I don't understand all the positive buzz at all...but hey, it's your guys' opinion and to each their own. I won't be an ass to you about it, so don't do the same.

To each their own I suppose, but since you like the 80's cartoon I don't see why you wouldn't like this one. While they're both very different from each other, its still the similar kind of light-hearted humor.

So you don't like the new series I respect that, but still I keep thinking we must see more episodes to give a better opinion, in my case I didn't like de 2002 version until later and now it’s my favorite incarnation.

I watched both episodes twice and never saw a fart joke. When did this happen?

You know I just thought of it but aren't they living in the old subway from the second movie? I mean they exited by jumping over turnstiles. You would have thought they'd have a more simple lair before going that route.

The fact that I didn't even notice the bum farted, even after watching the episode twice, proves people getting offended by this is ridiculous.

Seriously about the ONLY joke that I think felt too kiddy was when Don threw Mikey over the fence and all those sound effects of him crash landing on cats and dogs happened. And that was it.

I actually laughed at that so I thought that was a good joke.

I didn't find a lot of the dumping on Mikey funny. Especially with Splinter's whole "Haha no. I would have never made Mikey the leader. That would just be stupid."
