So, we're just supposed to avoid comparisons because the artist happens to be too sensitive? Well, damn. Free-speech has been revoked, folks.

The way PL did tear those early 4kids scripts to shreds was quite amusing, you should read some of them.

I never knew you could literally call a writer a moron if you professional work with them. If PL was there at 4kids HQ in person he'd probably tear the scripts up in his hands and throw it back at them.

The 4kids show would have been a lot worse without PL though. Some of the things the writers wanted to do really did seem just stupid.

Yes, but there are ways to go about getting those things changed that don't require calling staffers idiots or ripping a script up and throwing it back in the face of a writer.

You guys are still talking about the episode right?

Anyways.

So the fans here are unapeasable. Can't be helped since TMNT is more than 25 years old. It's a fact of life.

Still, don't justify yourselves for scaring off the staff. If you feel you're entitled to your opinions to the point of tearing the new show apart because it's not 87/2k3/Mirage (which it shouldn't because it's not), then yeah, I'm not really sympathetic if the creative team don't want to talk to you anymore.

That didn't happen though. Someone just commented that Laird never would have approved. That was all. That's beyond a reasonable conclusion. If he hadn't said it, I probably would have.

Yeah, it was nice.

Being a casual fan really helped.

Decent episode. Didn't enjoy as much as the previous one, but this one's humor really connected well with me. Laughed pretty hard a few times, so while I didn't think the plot was as solid, the humor was better.

Liked the little nods here or there to the overall franchise, but I'm definitely hoping for a more well rounded Baxter in the future. A guy who's nothing now who can become a legit threat later, is interesting.

I liked the bee callback and a lot of the episode reminded me of the TMNT CGI flick.

Thank you for saying this... we've seen 20 minutes of Baxter's intro in a two season, 56 episode show (so far). We have no idea what they've got planned for the show.

And saying ___ would take the script and destroy it? After Ciro's spent a couple YEARS of pouring his heart and soul into this... and you having only seen the first 20 minutes of this character's introduction? I would think you're a pompous douche too.

All characters develop throughout a show. 2K3 Baxter wasn't ripped into body parts in the first episode that had him. Give him a freaking chance...

I feel your opinion, avatar yuffie and machias banshee!...
I didn't utter my feelings about this episode yet, nor have I read as much of your thoughts on it as with the last epsiodes...but here in a nutshell what I liked very mucho about it:

first off, I really like this baxter, like the developement on his armour and have a feeling that his flamthrower in the beginning reminds me of metalheads, so maybe don rescues some part of this baxter suit for his own purposes...

I enjoyed the beautiful skateboard scenes, even if I am not interested in this sport/way of life usually...the music while the turtles running across the rooftops was nice, too I think..
had to laught really hard when raphael impersonated splinter!hahahaha and when he chose he has had enough when mike was dancing to the music still makes me laugh after rewatch and rewatch as well..

someone pointed out that baxter who cant fnd a fitting name for himself chose to chase michelangelo who is always naming other people/beings..this didn't cross my mind, nice observation, dude!...
I liked that mike stated he liked the suitinator when approaching baxter for the second timehahaha
oh and that fight was nice!!love how mike seems to clunk his nunchaku against the floor for a moment before he swirls out the chain of his kusarigama and hurls it screamingly and with an amusing open mouth at the scientist....
seeing his nanotechnology driven arms come to life and capture leonardos head(while sporting an own mouser unit head) and zapping at the brothers was fun and eciting at the same time to me...
the look when he scanned them and when he fires at them was great, too
something I don't like that much and didn't before was when animated versions of the turtles make the mousers do screaming noises...this has been the case in all cartoons to my memory and I don't understand that transition from the comics, I mean why would robots scream?only their appearance reminds us of animals, but their still machines right?..but thats only minor gripe and has to do with my personal taste...
I really love getting into a new episode each week!this show is so much fun, I cannt wait until turtlemania explodes again worldwide!!!
booyakashaaaa!
there might be some other things that I still liked very mucho, but don't have the time now to think about this any more..see you on tonights episodes discussion, compadres!

I still liked Baxter more in his debut 4kids ep than this one. I don't care how characters are developed later on at the moment, just by judging their debut eps I didn't care for this Baxter.

I much prefer Baxter when he's at least competent despite his setbacks. IDW's Baxter is done well too.

To be fair, 4Kids Baxter got a 2 episode premier....

EDIT:And the series have totally different tones. This is a Baxter that works within the confines of the more fun Nick TMNT universe. The "competence" argument for Baxter actually reminds me of Turtles Forever, and how 4kids Shredder was deemed competent compared to FW Shredder. Well of course, the FW show was a comedy...and Shredder was a comedic villain. Guess who gets that job in the Nick series?

There's also the people that throw out the "Supposed to" card.

This character is supposed to be like this or like that. Maybe....I don't know. It's a new show with new interpretations of the characters? Just a thought.

Absolutely. I think the reaction is worse than the supposed crime.

Nevermind that most people seem to misjudge what Ciro was saying in the first place and immediately jump to "FREE SPEECH UGHGHHHHH".

And I know you like to speak with authority on what Ciro was saying but it seems that misjudgment of what people are saying is a common theme here.

Anyway, I'm outtie. The new metalhead episode has been getting good buzz.
