Thank you. It was really bothersome the lack of attention that Leo gave this. I mean I completely understand Raph wanting to support his friend and I thought that it played a nice role in furthering their bond. Yet Leo not having one negative thing to say about it just seemed off. I feel like it might have been one of those situations where Leo knows that Raph is going to do whatever he wants so why bother wasting the energy trying to stop him, but even then that feels like a weak excuse to explain his actions.

I also hate how conveniently awesome the new lair appears to be. I understand that its a comic and belief has to be suspended, but they find a huge place to live rent free. It was just too convenient for my tastes.

I did love getting some Splinter / Casey time to see how they've begun bonding and I really liked Casey questioning Splinter on watching Soap Operas

Personally, I was kinda hoping they'd find an abandoned subway station like in the films.

I love that subway station.

I always just figured that Raph would be hiding in the rafters, under bleachers, something... never crossed my mind that anyone would think he would be exposed at all, but yeah... it absolutely makes sense that people would be wondering about this.

Here's my review for TMNT #15 at TMNT Entity.

Loved it. I like Kuhn's visual take on Slash, as he's more or less fused him with Tokka and I'm A-OK with that (Tokka always seemed rather derivative of Slash, anyway). Waltz's explanations for all of Slash's quirks and motivations make use of the mythology he's crafted and work in-story. None of that "there just happens to be a planet populated by people that look JUST LIKE the Turtles" stuff.

And I know some people hate it, but I LIKED how the 4Kids cartoon gave Splinter a love of soap operas. I'm glad to see that's stuck.

Haven't read the Annual, yet, but it's next on my que.

I love the malapropism at the end; I mean that in jest.

He would've been in disguise, incognito, and sitting high up in the nosebleed bleachers if he'd made it to Casey's game.

As for Leo trying to stop him, if the beginning of our Annual shows anything, it's that Raph -- and Casey -- are gonna do what they're gonna do.

Thanks, everyone, for checking out issue #15 and the Annual! Can't wait for you folks to see what we've got cooking in coming months!

I read #15 this morning before work and I'll read the Annual tonight. I like the gritty feel of the books with the artist that's been around a couple of months now. He really nails all of the characters other than the turtles, in my opinion. I don't care for the bucktooth look that the turtles get so often. If he changed that one thing, I would have no qualms with the art. The writing is so good though that the art is only a minor gripe!

Good stuff, the art was definitely better this time around. I also enjoy the idea of combining Slash and Tokka. I really liked the scene where he puts on his back mask, but with the snapping turtle design, he looks a lot goofier wearing it than not.

Also love that their new lair is under a church. Nice nod to Volume 2, if I'm not mistaken.

It starts off a month after the Turtles and Splinter are mutated, jumps forward a few months to the time April's micro occurs, then leads into the present day (denoted by Now in the comic) when Slash finds the Turtles and the battle begins.

I wonder if this means no Rahzar and Tokka in this series. I mean you can't just have Rahzar alone, they are part of a set much like Bebop/Rocksteady.

I was being sarcastic, bud. I don't really think its the case at all just something amusing that crossed my mind when reading the issue. It happens when people have been around Jester too long.

I appreciate Tom inserting humor into this where it fits as well such as Slash's bandanna or Splinter's love of the other troubled industry soap operas. This title truely is a great blend of everything TMNT. Most pockets of fandom can have something to be excited about with this book.

"I Wok Therefore I Yam."

It was kind of nice to see Splinter able to relax for once. The poor guy's been under almost constant stress since the beginning.

Also, I think Slash was used very effectively here. He's an absolute monster, and his furious surprise attack on the turtles was truly suspensful. I'm really anxious to see how the turtles deal with this thing. It was also nice to see a Hob cameo, I chuckled at the panel where he's been knocked out by what looks like a fast food meal.

Just to add,Slash a turtle is conditioned to hunt for the kill other turtles? I could see Leatherhead in that position, a natural predator opposed to a fellow turtle.

While referencing Leatherhead, could Mike be in a similar position to "What A Croc" as he is currently with Slash? Able to litterally knock sense into a the conditoned monster and thus SLash becomes an anti-hero? Never knowing if he will want to kill or help his fellow mutant turtles?

I enjoyed reading this the other night; a great deal in fact!!

Slash is *not* a monster, he's a victim of circumstance as noted by his limited thoughts and vocabulary. Very much an amalgamation of Tokka/Slash, and if he does bite the dust as I predict, I would personally have liked to see Tokka bite it rather than Slash since he wasn't really developed much in SotO.

I wish the entire issue had been dedicated to "the hunt" and build up suspense, because the brief moments we got were truly full of tension and the air thickened when the Turtles had that "Oh sh**! moment.

With Raph an Don seemingly unconscious and Leo pinned against the wall, I wonder if Mike will be teh one forced to kill Slash in order to save his brother?

He seems like the one pondering the most on the subject and working on his thoughts regarding the matter.

I know its not gonna happen, and I'm pretty sure Slash is gonna die soon, but I would LOVE the idea of Slash becoming a bit of an anti-hero character. Might be a good way to pair him with Leatherhead too... I also always loved the way the Archive series redeemed Slash, I would love a story like that. Oh well. They shouldn't just retread old Archie stories just because they were amazing, its a new deal here.

You know, you just posed the worst and best outcome of next issue. Mike forced to kill savage conditioned Slash after months of writing in to Tom and the gang asking for Slash to appear to use as a character study and anti-hero. Not an Archie retread, but a struggling character between good and evil and a Leatherhead team up attacking the turtles!Something I have wanted since I was a kid. I have more riding on this issue than any other poster! Its either going to be perosnally ironic or very epic.

I do wonder how the main plot will move from Slash to Krang and the Dimension X adventure.
